it takes time..... we have about 322 twattar followers and only a few have registered. some may lurk as guest. atleast you are getting the Hampur name out.... good work Harrier. There seems to be a hell of a lot of lurkers. Do you think they look at the board and see us testosterone filled rapid wolves bitchin with each other and it puts them off registering and gettin involved? I was thinkin, what if they could see the rest of the forum but the runway was shut to members only, it might force a few more to sign up to see the runway content. Just a thought. That sounds like a terrible idea but maybe I can help. I belong to an American Pit Bull Terrier forum and they allow everyone to lurk.....but......they only get 5-10 page views per week and than it asks you to sign up to continue reading the posts. It resets every week, so they can still lurk but they are missing out on 95% of the posts. I'm willing to bet that most of the lurkers are here on a daily basis and if you implemented something like that you would get a swoon of new registered accounts. |

Agree with the thought that it anything it should be the other way around, runway only open to lurkers, rest by signup. Or the limited views is another idea worth considering. Another idea might be not to threaten to ban people for having different (unpopular) views. |
