its unreal. i go back to the early 70's with the Mets (Ya Gotta Believe!), then the disappointment of Mike Vail and the awful Mets career of Joe Torre. i used to go to games at Shea in the early 80's when they were terrible and they wasted Craig Swann but was excited to be at Shea cause Jets season would soon start.
i really thought 85 wins would be a good season. NEVER expected this.

Amazing night. Like Cappy, I stuck around about an hour with several hundred Met fans celebrating. High fives/fist bumps with Lagares, Familia & Flores. May not have been Hampurcon, but here are a couple of pics with other Chicago Met Fans I met up with pre-game:  |

Stayed for an hour after to see the team. Terry Collins sprayed my face with champagne. And Michael Wilbon gave me a fist bump. So there's that. Still can't believe it Why would Michael Wilbon give you a fist bump? Isn't he a Cubs fan? |
