The media's high on the Pats* because they won the SB last year and then beat up on some weak ass teams to open this season. Guess what, last year they had Revis. They had Browner. They had Wilfork. They had Ridley. They had Vareen. This year they have shit, just wait until they see what a good team looks like this weekend. As long as we play solid Jets football, this one won't even be close.

If Fitz doesn't fall into any traps and turn the ball over, I think the Jets win this game. Pats will likely try and force the Jets to have Fitz beat them with his arm (smart), but I don't think they are up to the challenge of taking away the one thing he does well, throwing intermediate passes. The way they may trip him up is bait him into thinking that the Patsies athletic LB corp is incapable of showing a stacked box and getting back fast into the passing lanes. Defensively, I think this is a bad matchup for the NE Offense, but I would feel a lot better about that if Skrine were playing. Grank worries me (as he does everyone else), but the thing that really worries me is the slot play of NE (they have made it a plug and play art) and whether Skrine's replacement, to say nothing of Cro, is up to the task. Is Skrine out for sure? Or is he gonna be game time decision? Honestly, I'm not sure.

Even if Fitzsucky doesn't turn the ball over, what kind of production will he deliver? 200 yards? If the Pats go 5-wide with Gronk, Chandler (Jets haven't been able to cover TE's since Carter was President), Edelman, Amondela and Lewis, who the fuck do the Jets have to cover them? Jets LB's are the worst in the NFL in coverage, as is Pryor. Bad matchup? That's funny as hell.

200 yards from Fitz could keep a low scoring game close. Vegas says if it's close; your odds decrease drastically.
We'll see who wins the TO battle.

We'll see; your precious 5 wide set has been stopped before; and we can rush 4 all game.
