GTFO!!!! Mr 5% body fat back to the Jets? I guess he'd rather play for a team he hates, than no one. First I'm hearing of Quigsticks being hurt. When and where? Is that why he's so awful? To be fair, a lot of people hated us over the past few years under Rex, could've been a bit of an ego clash. I think it was more about Westhoff giving him teh old heave ho .. He really seemed to have a chip on his shoulder after that. But can you blame Westy? He failed at the worst possible time and Folk had to fill in for him, because of his fibrillating coronary artery, or something. Which of course, afterwards he had fixed

WILBRAHAM, Mass. — Because of an injury to Ryan Quigley, the Jets are expected to sign former Giants punter Steve Weatherford, a person familiar with the situation confirmed.
That person spoke to NJ Advance Media on condition of anonymity. That Weatherford would sign with the Jets was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Quigley was suddenly added to the Jets' injury report Saturday with a shin injury. The team listed him as questionable for Sunday's game at the Patriots. Quigley had not been on the injury report all week. It is not clear when Quigley was injured, but he did take a shot when Washington blocked a punt in last Sunday's game.
By adding Weatherford on Saturday, the expectation is that Jets want him to play Sunday. The bigger question is whether Weatherford will be given a chance to win the job beyond that.
PLUS: How much are Patriots concerned about Jets? This would be Weatherford's second stint with the Jets. He also played for them in 2009 and 2010. Before that, he played for the Saints, Chiefs, and Jaguars. Weatherford spent the last four seasons with the Giants before being released early last month.

weatherford seemed to be a better punter than quigly when he was with the jets the last time. here's to hoping he still has a leg and will be ready enough. and here's to hoping the refs call the roughing the punter penalty on the patsies because you know they will be trying to block a kick or two.

All that workin out but can't do fuck all about his face. Shame.
As long as his foot looks good tomorrow that's all that matters.

If Jarrett is the guy being waived, sounds like we may be seeing Quigley back in a few weeks -- unless Weatherford proves he is the better long term option.

J Jarret has been a good player for us. It sucks. Good luck JJ. Maybe we see you next year.

What's the fascination with Quig by two coaching regimes? and who the fuck is claiming an injured punter if they cut him anyway?
Jarrett is good depth, why risk losin him for quigs.

Assuming Jarrett clears waivers, I think we can put him on IR and have him back for next season.
