I wasn't the biggest fan of Quinn at first, but I wouldn't be disappointed in this hire. He seems well thought of, has experience as an assistant head coach and has had success everywhere he has coached. Plus he's a Jersey guy.
Assuming he brings in assistant coaches from the Seahawks, this could be our potential coaching staff for next year:
HC: Dan Quinn OC: Tom Cable or Carl Smith DC: Kris Richard

Dan Quinn as HC Dennis Allen as DC - his head coaching experience can help Quinn who will be in his first stint at a head coach Bill Lazor as OC - once philbin is fired in Miami lazor will be a FAUnless he gets promoted to Miami's HC job

Already Quinn has something that Rex doesn't he actually builds a scheme that suits the talent. He uses the players abilities and puts them in a position that uses the players abilities. Rex has never done this at all. He makes the player play in a scheme that doesn't use the players abilities. Prime example Pryor a box safety being used as a cover safety. I don't know that this guy is the answer but reading that already sounds like the guy is a improvement over Rex.

I think a kid like Pryor could flourish under a guy like Quinn if he uses him in the Kam Chancellor role. Basically play him as an extra LB up in the box to snuff out the run and send after the QB here and there. I think he'd be fine covering RB's out of the backfield and TE's and slot receivers within 10-15 yards of the LOS. Playing him as a deep, centerfielding safety is only going to expose him. He's not that kind of player.

They are also talking about Rex as the next HC of Miami and keeping Lazor as the OC.
