Here is early list of some of the players that have accepted their invites. Just look at all of the top Olineman that are going too participate. Should be a great time to see how they compare when going up against the same players. Senior Bowl practices can't come soon enough. www.seniorbowl.com/accepted-invites.php

After watching tonights game it is painfully obvious we need to replace Brick. He is probably in the lower twenties when it comes to ranking LT's and is scheduled for a huge cap hit. His technique is completely shot to shit and he is fighting for his life out there.
Even more reason too jump on drafting an OT in the first. The Senior Bowl will showcase many of the OT's that might be available when we pick.

i think you saw a couple of the same thing I did... Brick was looking slow on a few too many plays.

The Senior Bowl will roster eight quarterbacks this year, an increase from six in previous all star games. "The evaluation and forecast of QB's transitioning from #CFB to #NFL is complex, having 8 passers should really help the clubs," Executive Director Phil Savage said. As of now, six quarterbacks have accepted invites: Jacoby Brissett, Jeff Driskel, Kevin Hogan, Cody Kessler, Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz, with two other invites out: Connor Cook and Jacob Coker. I see Jeff Driskel has accepted. He was the Qb at Florida during the Muskrat fiasco. I really think this kid can play. I watched a lot of Florida games due to a good friend being an Alumni and all things Florida fanatic. This kid was not the problem. Scheme and shitty coaching was. He is big with a good arm and decent mobility. Anyone have any thoughts on him? I am not a big college football watcher so I'd like to get some better opinions that just mine. Say a 4th round flier on him?

Anxious to see how Wentz performs

I was never a big fan of Driskel and didn't follow his career once he left Florida. I know Dreamers(old poster at JI) was a big fan of his and liked him as a prospect.

Anxious to see how Wentz performs The hardest position too evaluate during these bowl games for me is QB and for that matter, the game itself. For me it's all about the practices where the Lineman go head to head, one on one. Same for the DB's and the WR's and to a lesser extent the LB's and TE's. I always give the QB's a pass in this game.

Yeah, I would tend to agree. I'm big on Wentz, but all of this talk about him going in the mid-late 1st round has me kinda scratching my head. The kid certainly has all of the physical tools and displays the little intricacies that you love at the position, but he comes from a small school and just missed the majority of this season with the wrist issue. But if he's there when we pick in the 2nd, I'd have zero objections. Kid just has too much raw physical skill and potential to pass up in favor of a 4th round pick like Petty (and I'm a pretty big Petty fan).

It's so early in the process, so maybe I will be swayed when watching more of him. I'm also a big Petty fan. If we neglect drafting a QB when a viable one is available I'll feel even better about Petty and how our staff handled him this year.

Probably a smart move on his behalf. The Senior Bowl not only raises some values but it can plummet others. I wonder if he'll even throw at the combine....I kinda doubt it.

Maybe I am reading too much into it -- and maybe its also because I don't really like Cook very much. But one thing I want in a QB is confidence, and when you don't go the the Senior Bowl, don't throw at the combine it shows a lack of confidence. I might feel differently if he was a consensus top 5 pick protecting his position (nothing to gain by playing in the Sr Bowl), But I don't see Cook at that level. Show some confidence, go the the senior bowl to impress scouts, instead of hiding from them.

If you're Andrew Luck, or Winston and you're staring down the barrel of 1st overall, I can stomach decision not to participate in certain events... but Cook? Fuck that guy, he's proven nothing to me other than he's the next man up in a long line of game managers being overvalued in the draft. GTFO of here Cook. Wentz is gonna leapfrogging him on everyboard across the nation before the end of the month.
