Harrison is pretty dominant, not just good, and you saying they aren't hard to find is a bit surprising coming from someone who fancies himself a draft guy. In the carousel of Mo/Sheldon/Leo, Sheldon looks to be the odd man out, with a 1 year rental in the form of a tag on Mo, so I fail to see how one of the most touted DLs in the past 10 years making rookie bank is a luxury.
Do the Jets need help in areas other than DL? Sure do, but that doesn't change the fact that they are fortunate the DL is set the way it is considering all the extraneous stuff going on with it across the board (2 FAs, one with an injury, possible suspension/character issues with another).
You want me to give Harrison more credit? Sure. They guy is a hog in the middle.... but hogs in the middle are one of the easier holes to fill next to Jenna Jameson. Harrison was no Kris Jenkins. He clogged up the running lanes and farted now and then. Like i said. He's good, but he's hardly the hope diamond to replace.
Our Dline is full of redundancy. If you need me to elaborate, see previous post. Williams added ZILCH ZERO NEGATORY to the game in buffalo... why? because he's not sacking the QB. just like richardson isn't. And Wilk rarely does. We can't keep pretending like our star-studded dline has been a success. It hasn't. We've OVER invested and expected a pass rush to develop out of thin air.
If there's no pass rush coming from the edge/interior -- it's not that difficult for today's QBs to move around the DEs/DTs.. unless they're beasting like JJ Watt on EVERY play - which our guys did less than often.
Spot on; I'd be near suicidal if that dope Coples was still on the team. The idea was for Revis, Cro and Gilchrist to F E A S T this season. Strong D but way overpriced.
