I see a few posters here are mocking him to us at #20. What is your reasoning why?
I just watched his 15 tape against Bama (only 1 game) but I see an at best, third rounder. Footwork and kickslide are horrible, slow and sloppy, gets overpowered, no push for a RT. Granted it's only one game but the only thing I see is a big body that can hopefully be groomed, a total project. The Senior Bowl will expose him as a next level guard.
I'll go watch some more because Bamas Line is incredible, but that is my take so far.

After watching his Miss St. tape from 15 I've come to the conclusion that this guy fucking sucks. The only thing he has going for him is 6'6" and 340lbs. He's going to get eaten alive at the SB.

haha.
I didn't want to comment until i watched something myself. I expected El Oline Captino UT to have some thoughts on this at least.

I don't want him at RT, I want him inside at RG where he has a SHITLOAD of potential.
If I want a RT, I'll take someone like Decker or Hawkins.

I'm not sure if you watched any of his tape but I sure don't see SHITLOAD of potential......all I see is a load of shit.

I'm good, nothing wrong with a little disagreement. I only watched his tape first because a few people here liked him. I was expecting to like him but he has some of the worst tape I've seen in years.....it's that bad. I'll probably watch some Decker tape this evening and report.

He needs a lot of work on his hand placement which is why his tape is hit or miss, but I think that's easily correctable with a good OL coach. I also think he has pretty good feet for a guy his size, and with some work he can be an elite OG. He's not my favorite prospect, but out of all the OL I watched so far that should be available at 20 I hate him and Garrett the least. Garrett's a better OG right now, but Alexander can kick out to RT if a team needs him to. If was was to take Alexander I'd want to drop back to the end of round 1 and pick up another pick or two.
This is also why Treadwell and Jack are my top two targets right now at 20, but I'm not sure they make it to us.

You made a remark in another thread somewhere about how 4 olinemen will be gone by 20, and I reflected on that and decided that's far from certain. I'm not even sure 3 will. There's Tunsil, Stanley and a gap the size of the grand canyon. I don't think GMs are that blind. Especially the rate they're getting canned right now. A lot of heat from poor drafts. As recently as 2012, only 2 OTs went in the first. (Kalil & Reiff). Conklin leaves a lot to be desired IMO at LT but i'd say right now - it's more likely 3 OTs go in the first altogether than 4 go before 20

Obviously from my past posts we don't see eye to eye on Alexander but that's what makes this fun. You get a chance to see any of Spriggs or Coleman? They might be viable Tackle prospects where we pick although I already don't like Colemans age.

Just because I hate Alexander doesn't mean I won't like Decker, Spriggs, Coleman, Hawkins, (insert another riser here). Go no further back than 2014 and there were 6 OLineman drafted in the first round, 2013 saw 8 OLineman plucked in the first round. I think where you're missing the point is that Stanley and Tunsil are such superior prospects you are left wanting with the other guys. Doesn't mean they're not worthy or likely of going in the first.
