Who do you like and who do you hate? Since we all agree OT is a huge priority maybe we can post some opinions here and fire this place up. Maybe even bring in some new posters and their thoughts.
I already shared my thoughts about Vadal Alexander and what type of prospect I believe he is coming out. Just got a chance to watch some Taylor Decker tape.
After watching Decker against VT and Michigan I am impressed. His hand placement and arm extension is terrific and that's something I normally don't notice in college prospects. He's huge with a big wingspan. Does a great job of scraping from one defender to the next and getting to the second level. Once he locks on, you're finished and he finishes his blocks. He gave up maybe two tackles against in both of those games combined.
What I don't like. He needs to get stronger below the waist and that is not much of a concern for me given his size. His feet are on the slower side for an elite Tackle prospect but overall he is very efficient with his feet.
Overall he looks like a future LT at the next level and at worst, you get a great RT. He reminds me a bit of Lewan, but not as nasty or naturally strong. I think he can start from day 1.

I do respect the fact that you're the resident OT buff. I'll lean on you to inform me of who's hot and who's not. Gives me more time to watch impossibly hard to find tape of obscure TEs from small schools.

I'm trying to find some more tape on Jerald Hawkins. He's a smooth athlete, and pretty good in pass protect. However, he needs to gain strength because he can get pushed around in the run game. At 6'6 309 he should be able to bulk up to 315-320 without losing any athleticism so that should help at the next level.
He gets pushed back a bit by Bama's DL but who didn't this year.

Like Paradis, I am not the guy to evaluate OL prospects. But I do appreciate your guys opinions on these prospects, and given how much of a need we have at both tackle positions, I will be doing a lot of reading up on OL prospects.

Got a chance to watch a couple of Conklins game tape, 2015 OSU and Oregon. I had a tough time watching and am neutral until I see some more. He's one of those prospects I inevitably have hard time coming to a decision. One play he looks the part, the next not so much.
He's definitely not even close to Deckers level but he could be a 1st rounder. At 20 I think we should have some better prospects to choose from but I could see him having a strong offseason and maybe moving up the boards.

I don't see the upside to play LT that Decker displays, but I think he's a natural fit at RT. Really comes down to whether you value a damn good, quality RT that highly. Because I think he could be a cornerstone over there for a decade.

I'd have no problems drafting a stud RT at 20 and if we pull the trigger I wouldn't be pissed. I just need to watch some more of him. He's the type of prospect that you can both love and hate in the same game. When I see these prospects(Amaro was another) I can't figure out what you're getting. Are you getting the mauler that moves his feet,....or are you getting the flatfooted stiff that whiffs?

Finally got done with him and overall I like him. Like you mentioned strength is a major weakness but that is easily improved upon. I like those big long arms and he knows how to use them. He was also highly rated coming out and a three year starter. My concerns are that he don't look natural with his pass pro(feet) and tends to get too upright. The upright you can fix but I'm not so sure about the feet, although I'm probably being overly critical. I can see him being a riser because he easily projects as a LT.

I think he rises up draft boards and is a possibility at #20 or maybe trade back a few spots. I hope I'm wrong tho and he lasts until our 2nd pick.

After they measure those arms I doubt he'll be around for our 2nd rounder. Crazier shit has happened but LT prospects always go higher than their draft grade would merit. He's one of those guys that looks like he could tie his shoes standing up. Unless we pick a Tackle in the 1st I would be more than pissed if we passed on him in the 2nd.

I'm surprised Beerfish hasn't responded to this thread. I know he likes them Offensive Lineman.

Any thoughts on Shon Coleman from Auburn? I'll get to him soon enough. Just been unexpectedly super busy lately.

Do you see him being worth the 20th pick? Next two guys on my film list are Spriggs and Murphy and I'll keep updating here.
