Atheists don't believe in organized religion or silly things like a higher power existing.
Instead, they believe in organized non-religion so they can tell you how silly you are for believing that a higher power exists.
Afterall, science is the end all, be all.
These scientists can tell me exactly how life originated on Earth, despite still not being able to tell me whether a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable.

My experience is that most unbelievers I know have emotional daddy/mommy issues - a negligent, absent or emotionally/physically abusive parent with an ensuing projection of anger/resentment onto a dislike for religion and other forms of authority -law enforcement, teachers, etc. Emotional distress is often compounded by substance abuse as a form of escapism.
Disillusionment with religion in particular can be based on personal experiences ranging from disappointments, mistreatment, to serious abuse (clergy physical/sexual abuse, congregation embezzlement)-while those certainly are not to be ignored or discounted, I feel one should also not conflate the religious hypocrisy and failings of a particular human figure or earthly organization with the non-existence of a higher power.
Often, nonbelievers want to disregard/minimize/destroy social laws norms and mores because they want to feel free to do as they please, ranging from drug use, cheating on girlfriends/spouses, aborting healthy children, and committing crimes ranging from misdemeanors to capital offences. To them, legal = moral.
Science can't and doesn't explain everything in life. Junk, politicized science like "global warming" fails miserably on empirical data. We have seen medical science with the best of intentions and trial tested outcomes still going wrong. Some of the most efficacious medicines have been pulled off the shelf due to unforseen side effects. Conversely, what science explains life's outliers - the miraculous recoveries from deathly maladies? Consider also the human factor, borne from free will and not God's diktat, yielding life's consequences both intended and unintended. Science cannot explain that there is a external genius in the design and/or predictable organization to our everyday life- the seasons, the cycle of the day/tides, gravitational pull, the human body. The indisputable fact that there is also chaos and ensuing tragedy when natural events spin out of our control or a scope of predictability leads us to many conclusions such as - there is no God of any kind, else he would not allow tragedy whether caused by the forces of nature or human malice, or accident, to befall his creations, especially the innocent; ~or~ - there is a God of some kind, because He alone created mankind and man's environs - science has yet to give anything beyond hypothesis as to why or how - and gave us free will to affect our own and others lives.
To me, the inevitable tragedies/sh!thands of life are offset by the beauty and enjoyment of life easily found IF we know where to look...first within ourselves, and in our relationships with friends and families.

Child raping priests are smug too. Nah, they're sniveling. Atheists are silly. Organized in the belief that there is no deity of any kind. Agnosticism is where it's at. If you're going to prop yourself up with the belief that science supports your views, then T.H. Huxley is your man. you might want to dumb down your post for ffdoots, including links to online dictionaries for every other word in your post.
