Hey Paradis.....your Calgary guy got some massive T-Rex arms.
He's a hog alright. What'd he measure in at? I'm in the final licensing stages for this position i'm taking on at work, so i haven't been able to do much this last couple weeks. Just catching what tweets I can here and there.
hey can you guys explain this to me?
Baylor and Ole Miss are discussing a potential neutral site game for the 2020 season.
The two squads likely would have been ticketed for a Sugar Bowl showdown this past season had it not been for Baylor's season-closing loss to Texas. Oklahoma State ultimately drew the assignment over the Bears (they were subsequently throttled by the Rebs). It's been reported that a potential neutral site contest would take place in either Houston or Dallas.
I tried to figure NCAA scheduling a long time ago, couldn't wrap my head around the minutia and moved on. I mean get the basics, but why is shit like this, news worthy? Something about Baylor/Big 12 playing a SEC team that i should care about?

That Victor Ochi is someone we need to look at for the Jets. He has by all accounts had a great week and has some kick ass measurables for a pass rushing OLB in a 3-4. Just look at those arms and wingspan.
He is one of the guys I will be watching for on Saturday. 82 inch wingspan on a 6'1" inch frame. Nothing but glowing reports in the twitter updates. I have already seen him projected (don't remember by whom) as a 3rd rounder.
Another guy to watch will be Graham Glasgow the C from Michigan. Earned himself a Sr Bowl invite this week.
6025 299 with 9 3/8 hands, 30 3/4 arms and a GIANT WINGSPAN of 76 3/8. I'll bet there are some punters out there with longer arms.......maybe even some kickers.

Don't see it mattering to anyone but a Baylor or Ole Miss alum living in enemy territory. Made the news a couple of years ago when Georgia and Notre Dame agreed to a home and home -- nobody gave a shit but me. Easy two hour drive to South Bend. I have had the 2nd Saturday in Sept of 2017 circled on my calendar for a couple of years now.

Also seems like the Jets are interested. I just wish Mac had 12 picks like Idzik did that one year....time to unearth some gems.
One of the reasons I expect a pretty quiet free agent season this year -- aside from the fact that we have limited funds. Let Macc start to accumulate some of those comp picks if we let guys like Snacks, Ivory and Davis go in free agency. Time to start stockpiling some picks and see what Macc could do with 9 or 10 picks next season.
got called out to work, missed both games - was only able to PVR the one. Doesn't sound like there was a ton to talk about, but then i haven't read a good article about the particulars of how the Olines and Dlines played. Just who scored and how many yards.

In addition to Ochi, the other DL to stand out to me was the kid from Manitoba -- Onyemata. Jake Rudock is probably having nightmares about him,, he was in his face all day. Very disruptive -- had a sack and a couple of hurries, one of which led to a pick.
The OT out of Nebraska, Lewis was able to hold his own in spots against Ochi. Reallly didnt notice the other OLs -- which is usually a good thing. Didn't catch who Onyemata was abusing. Would be curious to get Rob's feedback on the OL.
I didn't focus in on any one lineman so all I have is an incomplete. I was looking for that Bellard guy in the NFLPA game but I didn't see him in during the first half. Like I mentioned in the other thread, it would have been nice to have names on the jerseys. I did like Ochi a lot and he would be a perfect fit for our D. Also saw him standing up quite a bit.
Here are my thoughts on the game: (I avoided looking at other comments before posting this.)
QB: Adams of course was fantastic, really did look like Russell Wilson (when wilson is playing well.) It's not the yardage or the 3 tds that impressed me but the little things he did. Hard count to force an offside, keeping his eyes downfield as the scramble. Looking off DB's and then throwing a fast accurate pass. When he did run got up field fast.
The 5 other Qbs? God awful trash. If you are 6'5" giant with limited mobility you better either be super accurate or have a laser for an arm. All of these guys just sucked imo, Doughty made a few decent plays but those were offset by mind blowingly bad ints. Sudfeld sucked donkey dink. I'll be totally aghast if the jets picked any of those bozos, just garbage.
Oline: Rob will have a better eval of this area. The tackles looked pretty poor, guys getting beat badly. One of the highly touted guys that being the C Glasgow was unimpressive, snapped it a count early almost resulting in a safety, totally whiffed on two plays I watched. The center from U of Calgary looked really good in the 4th quarter.
WR's/TEs: The guy getting the press looked the best (Allison?) but he left a few plays out there. Other than that not much impressed me there.
RB: Competent, Lasco looked pretty good, Ferguson on a few plays, no realy eye openers but a solid crop they all looked decent.
Dline: Ochi was better than advertised for me. When a guy gets off the ball before anyone else on almost every play you have something. You can't teach that kind of quick twitch. Sure, perhaps not an every down guy but he looks totally legit re a pass rusher. Some good interior lineman as well.
LB:s No one stood out head and shoulders, cept the dude that kept blitzing when you cannot blitz.
Secondary: some good looking players there, The dude with 3 names, something something Calhoun made some nice plays. Some other good play back there but some of these guys looked pretty small. The taller WR's were not making them pay for the size match ups.
Kickers: FG kickers sucked, the punters however, id take either one of those guys over quigcrap immediately, especially the A&M kid.
Coaching: Morons, june jones seems to have turned into a total derp. No attempts to get plays in at the end of the half or the game in a good hurry up simulation.
A few real gems out there that is for sure, but a lot of others that are super raw and would have to sit on a psquad for a number of years.
(Now I can go back and look at other peoples comments about the game.)
