Can't say I'm as well versed in the particulars around this one. The next level in scouting obscurity? I'm sucker for underdogs and small school diamonds. This game fills both holes. I'm actually more interesting in this group than the Shrine game roster this year - especially on offense. Deon King is here too - definitely a OLB name to watch.
Anyway -- Do you plan on watching it this weekend?

Searching through that game for a potential 7th rounder or UDFA is a futile attempt that I will not devote any time to. If I was employed by a NFL front office I would be all over it, but the truth is I'll more than likely be watching tape AFTER our 5-7th rounders are drafted. It's just the nature of the beast.
The Shrine game always has some nice players but for me, it's all about the senior bowl practices. Time to set the DVR and enjoy my favorite week of the offseason besides the actual draft. I recently searched how many Senior Bowl players are actually drafted and the numbers are staggering. IIRC one year had about 15 first rounders.

Thanks alot Paradis, now you got me watching HS game tape of Bellard. He does seem to move well and is quick out of his stance but I can't find shit from Texas ST. Maybe I'll DVR that game too and solely focus in on him.

You have to draw the line somewhere. 95% of the people in this game will go undrafted, and most will be home looking for work next September. Conley managed to get himself drafted in 3rd last year after showing well at the game however. Honestly, there's 3 names that are important; Deon King OLB, Michael Thomas WR, and OT Harris from Appalachian state. Maybe Greene if your team's looking for a RB with some flashy return potential. I personally am VERY interested in the two TEs i listed, but what else is new. |

Back then they were a powerhouse D2 school. I had to google it to make sure it is really a thing -- seems like it is more CFL event than NFL. All Star game in VA Beach. Never heard of the Dream Bowl or Milliersville or Rasheed Johnson. Did you play in college? and if so, where? |

Did you play in college? and if so, where? Never played in college because I ended up taking a year off and lost passion. I got recruited by about a dozen schools, mostly DII and a couple D1-AA with the biggest being UConn. And as you probably guessed it I played line. Had a great HS coach that was the starting guard for Ohio State and played in the Rose Bowl. |

Just a heads up but ESPNU has two hours of practice that they will be showing on Saturday morning from 5AM-7AM. Oops almost forgot that is Mountain Time. So 3AM for you east coasters.....time to get that dvr ready.
