Sucks for him....sounds like another Marcus Lattimore with an extra dose of nerve damage. I hope he had some type of insurance policy because he sounds like a good kid.

Trade up in the 2nd and take him If the rumors are true, which they sound like they are he would be completely off of my board. What good is a speed linebacker with no speed?

Stick a fork in him. He's done. I wouldn't take him before the 3rd round now. Even then my I'd have to have doctors check that knee out like crazy.

FOURTH round....usually you can get pretty good value in the 3rd. I dont want to pass on what might be a starter for a speed rusher who may never have feeling or regain muscle control in his leg again. I'll waste a "joe mckight" on him but nothing more. At least that way I'd expect him to fail and if we get lucky then great.

Sucks for Jaylon, I had heard that he suffered some significant nerve damage and when reports came out that he could be ready for the start of the season I was very skeptical. Too bad, he is exactly the type of ILB the Jets need.

I hope he had some type of insurance policy because he sounds like a good kid. From what I have read, he had a $5MM insurance policy if he drops out of the first round due to injury -- similar to the coverage Ifo Ekpre-Olomu had and collected on last year when he fell due to ACL. He will be okay financially even if he never plays again (if he actually uses that ND education), but still sucks for the kid. This is why I will never begrudge a kid who decides to go early. $5 mil is not a bad way to start, but he still has lost tens of millions of dollars.

Feel terrible for jaylon. I was playing the pessimist about his recovery in hopes of being proven wrong... Didn't work.
Wouldn't bother with him now. Somebody more interested than me will burn a pick in the 4th. Wouldn't bother before the 5th
