I'm curious as to why so many people believe we need WR help - are we that quick to write off Devon Smith? I think OL is by far the bigger need/want.

Smith isn't even going to be ready until towards the end of the season, if at all since he just tore his ACL less than 3 months ago. That means he's once again going to miss all of OTA's, Mini camp, TC, pre-season, etc. And it's not like he showed even close to enough for us to just roll with him as one of our Top 3 receivers anyway. Marshall is also about to turn 32 and I wouldn't be surprised if 2016 is his last year with us. Gailey runs more 3 and 4 WR sets than any other OC in the league, and it isn't even remotely close. If we can't land a franchise QB, then might as well surround Fitz or whoever with as many weapons as possible.

I like it, but why spend another late round pick on a QB? Are we cutting Geno or are we going into the season with 4 QBs on the roster? Otherwise, either Petty or Hogan are going on the PS, where they will likely be plucked.

Hogan in the 7th would be a steal. I see him as a 4th or 5th rounder. Would love to steal a guy like that late.

I guess it may partially depend on what Bowles and Gailey think Amaro can contribute after missing the season with his injury. Jets basically played the last season without a catching tight end at all in the lineup, so I think that contributed to the Jets having to roll out three and four WR sets quite often. If the Jets believe that Amaro is ready to contribute next season, with the other issues on the roster, Maccagnan may decide to go elsewhere in the draft.
