Been watching a bit of Lawler lately. He's one of three few underrate WRs In this class. I got asked to do a write up on him, so I'll report back after - but I'm gonna say 2nd talent pegged for the 3-4th Contemplated taking Lawler in the fourth round for the Lions in a mock draft I'm doing somewhere else. Was put off a bit by his skinny physique. I'd be interested in your thoughts, Paradis. I'll see about getting down and dirty with Lawler soon and then we can talk. He's a natural WR, but somewhat limited physically. Most watch more.

After his recent pro day, Treadwell is going to be there at #20 for the Jets to take & we're going to pass. I know it. Sucks because he has good character & would be wise to have BMarsh tutor him for the remainder of his contract. Also shifts Decker into slot.

I think most of the teams expected him to run in that range so I don't think it will hurt his stock all that much. I'd love to see him available at 20 and we pull the trigger because he's going to be a good one.

Via Gil Brandt last week. Just caught this.
Syracuse Representatives from 30 NFL teams -- including a special teams coach from the New York Jets -- were on hand for Syracuse's pro day on Wednesday. A total of seven players worked out indoors and on a very fast FieldTurf surface.
Punter Riley Dixon -- 6-4 1/4, 220 -- was taken aside for a specific workout by the Jets' special teams representative while the other Syracuse players were working out.
Utah Representatives from 18 NFL teams -- including special teams coaches from the New York Jets -- were present for Utah's pro day on Thursday. A total of 14 Utes players worked out indoors and on FieldTurf
Punter Tom Hackett -- 5-10 3/4, 198 -- had an excellent workout. He punted the ball outdoors, and showed that he can directional punt and punt for distance. Hackett is very good and will play in the NFL

Tony Pauline @tonypauline NY Jets very high on Southern Miss offensive lineman + German WR Boehringer working out again on Friday The first full week of April brings an end to the Pro Day schedule which finishes this Wednesday with the highly anticipated workout of quarterback Paxton Lynch in Memphis. One offensive tackle is reaping the rewards of his Pro Day performance from last week while another is watching his stock take a dip. Here’s the latest draft buzz from around the league ... 1. Ronnie Stanley of Notre Dame is considered by most as a top 10 lock, but not all teams agree. Several scouts tell me there’s real concern about Stanley’s athleticism and most feel he won’t be able to handle the left tackle position in the NFL, which is causing his stock to drop. Others feel Stanley is just an overrated player. With the likes of Shon Coleman, Le'Raven Clark and Caleb Benenoch available during the draft’s second day, lesser prospects who could turn into starting left tackles in the NFL, there’s an opinion around the league Stanley could fall out of the draft’s initial 10 picks and into the middle of round one. 2. Conversely Indiana’s Jason Spriggs is starting to gain momentum and several personnel people believe he’s a lock to be selected in the bottom third of round one. Many around the league believe Spriggs is the best pure left tackle in the draft not named Laremy Tunsil. Spriggs' athleticism is matched by few at the tackle position. He touched 35 inches in the vertical jump and timed 7.37 seconds in the 3-cone drill during his Pro Day last week after tipping the scales at 301 pounds. Scouts agree Spriggs does not have the natural bulk or power compared to the top tackles in the draft and that affects his run blocking. However, most scouts believe this is easily correctable and will come as he physically matures and works in the environment of an NFL weight training program. 3. Norman Price of Southern Mississippi, a prospect rarely mentioned outside of scouting circles, is another offensive lineman moving up draft boards. The 6-5 tackle who weighs 310 pounds was not graded by scouts prior to the season, but turned in a terrific senior campaign then followed it up with a great Pro Day workout where he completed 32 reps on the bench press, touched 30 inches in the vertical jump and timed 4.88 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Price has four visits on his upcoming schedule and some teams have stamped him as an early third-day pick. 4. Two weeks ago, I gave everyone the heads up on German receiver Moritz Wilhelm Boehringer and he did not disappoint during his Pro Day last Thursday. He measured 6-4.5 and 227 pounds, posted a vertical jump of 39 inches and timed as fast as 4.38 seconds in the 40. Boehringer looked natural catching the ball during position drills. The comments I received during his Pro Day ranged from, “He’s a legitimate prospect,” to, “He’s a fourth-round pick.” In what is considered a poor receiver draft, no prospect at the position comes close to matching Boehringer’s size/speed numbers. His calendar for April is booked as Boehringer will visit seven teams while two additional franchises were disappointed to learn there’s not enough time on the schedule to fly him in. Boehringer is having an open workout for teams this Friday at Florida Atlantic University and this time he’ll be catching passes from Jacoby Brissett of North Carolina State. 5. Western Kentucky cornerback Prince Charles Iworah was another player I mentioned in the lead-up to Pro Day and he was the star of his workout. Iworah measured a shade under 5-10 then ran the 40 in the low 4.3s. He was considered a reject by scouts prior to the season, but the buzz making the rounds is Iworah could land in the fourth round. You have to take him at #20 if he's there.
