Just had a look at my mock draft creator spreadsheet at the top 3 rounds worth of players, (essentially top 96) by position.
Centers (3) 1st round: 0, 2nd round: 1, 3rd round: 2 Guard (6) 1st round: 0, 2nd round: 2, 3rd round: 4 Off Tackle (10) 1st round: 4, 2nd round: 3, 3rd round: 3 Running Back (7) 1st round: 2, 2nd round: 1, 3rd round: 4 Tight End (3) 1st round: 0, 2nd round: 1, 3rd round: 2 Wide Receiver (11) 1st round: 2, 2nd round: 6, 3rd round: 3 Quarterback (5) 1st round: 3, 2nd round: 1, 3rd round: 1
Defensive End (10) 1st round: 5, 2nd round: 3, 3rd round: 2 Defensive Tackle (13) 1st round: 6, 2nd round: 4, 3rd round: 3 Outside Linebacker (11) 1sr round: 4, 2nd round: 4, 3rd round: 3 Inside Linebacker (3) 1st round: 1, 2nd round: 1, 3rd round: 1 Cornerback (10) 1st round: 5, 2nd round: 2, 3rd round: 3 Safety (7) 1st round: 0, 2nd round: 3, 3rd round: 4
D line and olbs do indeed form the bulk of the top 3 rounds and it does seem defensive heavy (21 out of the 32 are D players)

No replies? This is actually a worthy topic of discussion as positions that seem "thin" in a draft usually get guys drafted earlier than they should. I think TE is a good example here as I expect Henry to go earlier than he deserves, possibly in Round 1. It also means that teams who have a need for a position that is somewhat deep could benefit. The Jets may get lucky here with LB because, as I've stated my opinion before, the Jets really could use two LBs coming out of this draft.
Anyone think the Jets try to line up their eventual replacement for Mangold in this Draft? Ryan Kelly and Nick Martin both look to be potential Year 1 starters at Center, but I'd think the Jets could take a C and look to play him at Guard for a year or two (if possible) before eventually seceding Nick Mangold.

We really need at least a semi viable prospect for center or LT, or both. Our 1st round pick will be pretty interesting, though we are at 20 much like last year there is always at least one guy that falls that you say 'I can't believe he is still there.'

If we go into next season with Breno as our right tackle, I may have to stop watching Jet games.

(He will be cut...that salary does not mesh with his level of play)
