I prefer the Raiders draft hands down. Fucking love Rankins and Hawkins is a good get for the third, just give him a year in a conditioning/strength program and he'll be a steal. I don't know enough about Burns too comment but I like how you finished it out. Burns is definitely a boom or bust guy. I wish he would have stayed at Miami for another year, but he left school because his mother died, his father is in jail, and he assumed custody of his two younger brothers. He's a hard worker and has a good head on his shoulders. I was considering Fuller, but I think Burns fits the Raiders scheme better. If I was running a zone defense I'd probably pick Fuller. Burns is pretty raw, but he's an elite athlete. Like Cro he's great at pressing, but doesn't do it enough. His rookie season is going to be UP and DOWN for sure, but I think he's going to put it all together. I think late 2nd round is where he should go. Actually right about where the Jets pick. This is the type of analysis that should be more prevalent on this board with the posters here. You got WAY down deep on this prospect and I wish more posters would, instead of the generic I copied this from the NFL.com write-up. Now I'm rooting for Burns.

Truth be told, I like my Vikes draft better too. Not to say I hate the chiefs draft. I really like McGovern/Seymour/Kaser as day 3 value picks and I do think Doctson would work well on the other side of Mac. For the Vikes, I think Baby Gronk will be drafted by someone, and he's a good fit for the Vikes offense. I could see him in KC too though. But the D gets a nice boost with Billings/Joseph and even Benny Brown (who should probably be a rd 3-4 guy when the real draft gets going). I need too watch some more of Brown. He's another guy that looks like a fit in a Bowles defense and you might have struck gold with that pick. I'd be lying if I said I was super familiar with him but from what I've seen, he's got a nose for the ball and he's a tackling machine (watch the Ole miss game as an example. He really jumped out and shined on quite a few plays ). He'd be an ideal fit for Bowles with a day 3 pick.

That's fair Re:Cooper...I just think with Teddy running for his life and Wallace and his Stone Hands gone...he could use someone who can get to top speed fast and make some plays. Enter Cooper. Given what the board looked like at 54, I took a shot. I agree it was a bit reachy, but it's a hunch that it's a good fit. On Baby Gronk, I think he'll get drafted, probably in the late 5th-6th. FB is a staple of the Norv Turner offense and he could use a good one. I think he fits there. Teddy could definitely use another guy that can get open quickly. He doesn't have a very strong arm, and isn't a great at throwing the deep ball. Personally after Treadwell, Doctson, Colemon, Boyd, and Thomas there isn't a WR I'd take before the middle of round 3/4. If I was the Vikings I'd want to add a WR with size to lineup across from Diggs. I think theirideal target is probably Treadwell (he wasn't there) or someone like Carroo in round 3/4.

I'd love to add more of my thoughts like that on players, but this year has been crazy for me. Things are finally starting to settle down a little so I'm trying to play catch up on a lot of prospects. I'm hoping I can post my top 5-10 at every postion within the next week and give up a write up on them.

I already watched Deion Jones and came away unimpressed, watched Shumate today and to the dismay of Yankee I didn't feel it. Shumate plays slow and was bad in deep coverage as well as a bad tackler but I only watched one game. Brown sounds intriguing so I'll get to him.

Actually, I can kind of go in depth on my other Raiders pick, Deon Bush. Personally I think he's a steal in the 5th round. I think he's another late 2nd/3rd round pick. Yes, I'm a Canes fan so I'm bias, but he had a huge impact on our defense. Against Nebraska we were leading 33-10 in the 3rd. Bush got ejected for targeting, which was bs. At most he might have gotten 15 yards in the NFL. Our defense crumbled without, and we lost in overtime. If he wasn't ejected I doubt Nebraska scores another 10 points.

I remember that game and the play, I just didn't remember the names. Let me know what you think of Jhurell Pressley from UNM because I don't want to allow my bias into the player evaluation. I asked Paradis earlier because his running style reminds me of David Johnson.

I'll definitely check him out. Do you have any tape I can see? I'll go searching for some myself. Hell I found the full game of Grand Valley State vs Ferris on youtube for Justin Zimmer haha. I can't believe I watched basically an hour of Ferris State football just to watch their defense.

I can't believe I watched basically an hour of Ferris State football just to watch their defense. I just looked at him today and he only has 2 tapes on DB. You'll probably have a hard time any other tape because there is not one other player worthy of a draft pick from UNM, especially on offense. I like him based off of those two tapes and his YPC is unbelievable. Great speed outside and a bear to tackle in the open field, and hits the hole like Ron Jeremy pounding pussy. He might be the only player I am biased for because of my location, that's why I'm asking for other opinions.

Even tho he's 5'10, 203 his legs/thighs don't look very big. I don't think he's an RB at the next level. He can't pound the ball and he's only caught 18 passes in his career. However, he kind of looks like the RB version of Julian Edelman. Neither caught many passes in college. Pressley 18 to Edelman's 1. They're size is very similar and they both have great shuttle times. If I was running a team I'd run him WR drills and see if he can be a slot receiver. If he's going to make the NFL that's the position I think he'll succeed in. Granted I haven't watched him that much.

Down to our last pick. jcappy and the Broncos. Not going robopick for Mr. Irrelevant. If anyone is interested, I added a tab to the draft sheet with the results of last year's Hampur draft.

If anyone is interested, I added a tab to the draft sheet with the results of last year's Hampur draft. Only 4 players got selected in their correct spots from last years draft. Winston No brainer Shelton Cle Fowler Jacksonville and the CB that went to Minn. Looking at some of the results, there were a LOT of players over-valued by 2-3 rounds. Curious to see how this years pot luck goes! 11 days. That Rams trade and a few DUI/assault charges has already shred a few drafts. Hopefully Mo will also shake up our Draft Board for the Jets(HeyMangold)

Where is Paradis? I'm still looking for my critique on my draft and your thoughts on Pressley.

Paradis here is a prospect for you, or anyone else for that matter. He hasn't been drafted in our mock but let me know what you think of him. Jhurell Pressley from my beloved New Mexico Lobos. Turned in a 4.38 at his pro-day and plays to it. Just wanted to add he doesn't have many receptions because NM doesn't throw the ball, or should I say, can't throw the ball. sorry, busy weekend... I saw a blurb from Lance Z about Pressley being under-appreciated a month ago or something - revisiting it now, he's an interesting back to look at it. Not entirely sure what his profile would be. He doesn't always run/look like a natural running back. He looks a lot more like Percy Harvin once Harvin had the ball, then David Johnson IMO. A peculiar mix of patience and straight line speed. Can't deny his nose for getting outside tho. I'd much rather take a chance on him than some of the other late round speedsters like Keith Marshall.
