Now that's the understatement of the year right there. He's not only fucking up on the field....He's fucking up off it, too. Should have kept his mouth shut entirely. May have been able to fool some optimistic minds for a year or maybe 2. yeah. A bunch of GMs out there probably went "Whew! Dodged a bullet there" now that Geno has shown the type of immature pussy he is.

Sounds like essentially what will happen, but he'll probably have someone else handling contracts and shit. Come fix this shit Casserly. And I'm telling you now the media will start kissing our asses. How long before they pull the 180?? I'm calling free agency.

When asked about dealing with coaching changes while at West Virginia, Smith told reporters. "It is all about what you make it," Smith said. "I think the toughest part about it is not being able to continue to play for the same coach the same guy that you learned to love, you invest so much in, and you believe [in] them. To reset and readjust is a tough thing to do, but we are professionals and we have to do it. A change could be good for us all, so if it happens, when it happens, then we will see." But the title of the article reads, "Jets QB Geno Smith: Coaching 'change could be good for us all'" How misleading. He was talking about when he went through a coaching change in college. fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/24912909/jets-qb-geno-smith-coaching-change-could-be-good-for-us-allWho cares about his coaching change in college. He said 'a change could be good for us'. That means now, and the future. Even worse, it sounds like he thinks that he has failed because of the coaching, not his own ineptitude, because coaches in college were able to adapt their offense to suit his limited skillset. Sounds like he hasn't realized that the NFL is a whole different ballgame, for big boys. I never like the guy or thought he was going to be the Jets franchise QB but the more I hear, the more I detest him. Hopefully he's on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad next year. i just think he was talking about how he felt back when it happened in college, even though he used the future tense.

No decision making, no leadership, no mechanics, no accuracy, no true self examination. If any coach or GM keeps him as the starter you'll know they blew it again.

I know. What are these homers thinking? Its not like we landed Pioli. i don't know casserly's whole resume but I do know and respect he had the balls to go out and draft Mario Williams when the whole world had Reggie bush as the clear cut #1. He didn't cave to public and media pressure and was willing to go out on a limb, who had the better career is debatable but over the first five years I would say Williams was the better player.

Bush was drafted when it was the norm to pick a RB in the first round, yet Casserly saw a better player in Williams. Agreed with the pick then and still agree. I'm happy Woody got his head out of his ass and hired a football guy, even if he's only a consultant.

It's a great move and it's great to see it's been brewing ahead of time. And ff, yeah "because of Casserly" absolutely. You watch how different brush they paint w simply him being there. maybe not local as much but NFLN and NESPN. I'll put money it's a completely different tone

This story is not eve true. Casserly was a lame duck when this pick was made. Texans had already hired a consultant (sound familiar) who would fire him. No way Casserly was allowed to make that pick. Kubiak made the pick.
