Ok I am officially concerned for this upcoming year. I dont think he was great last year but this the line was palatable. I know Mac says he doesnt draft for need but how does this not the draft strategy?

If true (and there are multiple reports on this), it's not surprising. He made some comments in December after seeing the movie "Concussion" saying he felt betrayed by the NFL and thought they withheld information. Didn't realize the risk of developing CTE. If that's the reason he's doing this, more power to him. He's made his money and now trying to protect the quality of the rest of his life.

Not sue where we go for LT now. Not totally shocked, I believe he made some comments about concerns over head trauma earlier this offseason.

Well Cimini just said the Jets knew about this ahead of time and it was always a possibility and thats why they were looking at other guys as possible replacements.

Great all time Jet. Makes me worried for his partner in crime Mangold in the near future. Shit.
Bright side, hello cap room, hello Fitz

I met a writer for the Wall St Journal who covered the Jets about a year ago. He told me that Brick never seemed to have passion for the game, it was only just a job. He also said Brick is interested in the business world and constantly is in contact with him asking about opportunities that he may be aware of either with the Journal or elsewhere. Maybe he found that next opportunity
Whatever he does -- I wish him luck. Ten years and never missed a snap, he must have had some passion to do that.

Well Cimini just said the Jets knew about this ahead of time and it was always a possibility and thats why they were looking at other guys as possible replacements. I always suspected that they've had something up their sleeve. I figured it was a pre-arranged deal with Brick and/or Breno that they'd restructure their salaries if and when needed.
