Thanks for the thoughts. Know that I'm not exactly thrilled to slot cardale there either... But our respective "dream drafts" are never going to happen. So here's an exercise then RobR Hollywood Nosebleed yankeejet22 ....you're Macc. Woody, Bowles everyone is is the same page -- you HAVE to get a QB.... Goff goes 1, Wentz 2 and SF trades up to #4 and takes Lynch. What do you do? You can't just "push" the issue to next year. My gut tells me Mac will trade up for the QB he wants. If Lynch goes before pick 14 and we're still at 20 I think he says fuck it. This QB class isn't great. There's a reason we're not signing Fitz right now even tho we hold all the cards. Mac is going to wait until the last minute. He wants one of the top 3 QBs and if he doesn't get one then he'll resign Fitz. I bet he even makes Fitz compete with Geno again if that happens. Nailed it. |

That's what I would do (well, besides trading up to 6 for Lynch - cause I believe in him that much), but i just hope they don't force the pick... we assume they won't.. but we don't really know the regime yet. This draft will let us know what we're dealing with. They're gonna be tested to either go all the way, reach on another mid-range guy, or decide to not force it all... we'll see. |

You guys all hate Connor Cook. If you replaced Jones with Cook, your draft would me much more juicy to me. Fuck that, it would be awesome.

Jets close out a deal they started with TEN - swapping firsts (#20 for their #15), and TWO seconds (#43 & #45) in exchange for M. Wilkerson & our 3rd RND pick. Jets draft: 1) Corey Coleman WR, Baylor.... Mac has done "extensive" research Coleman (rep. yesterday) 2) Noah Spence OLB, East. Kentucky... met with 3 times, and mac's taken chances (see Marshall) 2) Jaran Reed DT, Alabama.. private workouts and meet 2) Cardale Jones QB, Ohio St.... mac personally went to the proday. best consolation prize left. 4) Joe Dahl OT, Wsh state... jets have been reportedly high on the prospect 7) Tavon Young CB, Temple 7) Tevin Carter SS, Utah Would you be happy with this? Or would you spend more to move up for Lynch? Hate the Coleman pick this high he is just another over the top receiver just like Devin Smith. If you want a receiver Treadwell would probably be there and he is better. Don't like the reed pick he is just blah but I can see them drafting him. Love the spence and Dahl picks. |
