Monkey? The point is it puts a chill on any meaningful research. What meaningful research? Allow me to save the taxpayers millions. People use guns to kill people. Generally minorities in poor areas kill other minorities with guns. Generally those areas have strict gun laws. Criminals break the law. Go figure. There have been mass shootings. Perps are usually white males, mid-20s, loners. Most of the time they are deranged. They use popular AR-style guns. Almost all the guns are purchased legally. The rest is purely political. Research isnt going to bring people together. And your or my "common sense" proposals are different from someone elses. Big Data could help. I hear that We're Building A Better Planet.

We can take a look or throw our hands up and say that's just the way it is. To me it would be money well spent.

Literally send the police and military to everyone house. Search them with metal detectors and remove all the guns. Outside of that we can perhaps improve our mental health system but that wont prevent a crazy from stealing their mom's gun (Sandy Hook). And we can take all the Koch Brothers money and give it to the kids in Chicago but that wont stop them from wanting street cred or settling beefs. Banning guns doesnt address the ones that are already in circulation. And they arent just going to die off, they are machines. Sometimes there just isnt a solution. Humanity is a paradox. There is no accounting for the human element.

There is no accounting for the human element. frankly, one solution is to go back to the old insane asylum model that was so prevalent up to the 60's. face it, some of these people will never, ever be able to function in society no matter how many meds or psychiatrists are used to treat them. i know the libtards will be all aflutter saying you can't trample on people's rights but what rights did the kids at sandy hook get? that lanza kid should've been locked up a long time ago. same for the colorado ahole. but you see the medical establishment has already ruled that out by making autism a growth industry. at the time of the whole immunization blow up about 10 years ago about 1 in 200 were classified with autism. now it's 1 in 66 or so. the point is that the medical people are classifying tons of kids this way because it means big bucks to them, the schools, the special ed teachers, etc. there are degrees to everything and i will bet that most of these new autism kids will be able to function quite well in society without any of this so called diagnosis and special treatment. as for the gang violence, well, stop and frisk was working pretty well in nyc until diblasio libbed out on it all. similar techniques could be used to take the toys from the bad guys. remember those gang bangers aren't exactly buying their guns legally.

How could they feel like victims if they aren't classified?

I don't care what errors were found in that Freakonomics/abortion paper. Aborting all those precrime crack babies definitely had something to do with the drastic reduction in crime.

LOL you monkey - learn the whole story. That bill was to keep $2.6MIL away from CDC's Education and Awareness arm. Too many dramatic commercials. The bill was to slow down advocacy and force research, but written poorly. It looks like lobbyists have been muddying the waters; what will happen? It's another COmmon Sense CockBlock Monkey? The point is it puts a chill on any meaningful research. ur posts are perfect eample of what this article is referring to...what u said intially was false by omission... checking a result less thoroughly when it comes out the way you like, and so forth.

The peer review process doesn't work. Most observers of science guffaw at the so-called "Sokal affair," where a physicist named Alan Sokal submitted a gibberish paper to an obscure social studies journal, which accepted it....there should be a system created so EVERYONE can review instead of just scienctists...
