Because I've got nothing better to do today I guess.
I tried to make this a combo of what I think the Jets would do and what I'd like to see them do.
1-20 Paxton Lynch – This maybe more of a wishful thinking pick, but I think there’s a chance he drops. Ultimately I think the two prime candidates to take him from the Jets are the 49ers (who I see passing him up because top 10 is too high) and the Bills, but I think Rex can’t help but draft Defense.
TRADE – Jets trade Mo Wilkerson to the Browns for the 1st overall pick in the 2nd round (32) and 1st overall in the 4th round (#99).
Browns make this trade because I think they're going to trade down again in Round 1 and pick up even more picks. Someone (Dolphags?) are gonna trade up to 8 to take Zeke.
2-32 Noah Spence OLB: Mac moves up to ensure he gets his edge rusher.
2-51 Ryan Kelly – C Alabama: Mac goes BPA and the offensive line rebuild begins
3-83 Scooby Wright – ILB Arizona: will challenge for a starting spot this year, eventual replacement for David Harris.
4-99 - Shon Coleman – Auburn OT: O-line rebuild continues. After a year of seasoning and development replaces Breno at RT in 2017
4-118 – Deiondre Hall – CB Northern Iowa: one of my personal faves. Small school sleeper with long arms and good man cover skills – this guy fits well into Todd Bowles defense.
7-235 – Tom Hackett – P Utah: it wouldn’t be a Jets 7 round mock without picking this guy at this spot
.
7-241 LeShawn Sims – CB Southern Utah: under the radar prospect that has the man cover skill Todd Bowles loves - could end up as a free safety.
