It's a straight pick em (W/L/tie), no scores..There are other ones with confidence points, I felt like keeping it simple. Thoughts? |

This country is a mess. I feel sorry for anyone who spent €€€ to come see their team.
There's garbage in the streets and yesterday unions decided to go on strike specifically on the 2 train lines which go to the stadium for tonight's game. They should bring the guillotine back for shit like this.

Pulling for the French today. For RD and because fuck Ronaldo.
Apparently 100 extra Newark police have been assigned to Ironbound Newark (where I'll be hanging before walking over to the RBNY match) to handle any antics from the Portugese, so I'll likely keep my rooting interests under wraps.

The commentary here, even immediately after they won, was lots of criticism about the "anti-footballing" display Portugal put on, which I found kind of annoying and petty. Yes, they didn't exactly set the world on fire tactically and pushing forward. But overall, this tournament was very lackluster and lacked quality at times from every single team. They stayed true to their game plan and played great team defense. I don't understand the sour grapes and I thought it was refreshing to see a new champion rather than the same old Spain, Germany, Italy, etc. |
