If she has a catheter, that's crazy. First off, if it's an indwelling Foley, she's much more prone to UTIs (which tend to cause delirium/confusion in older folks). It could also be something like a suprapubic. Either way, why? So she doesn't pee herself after a seizure? That she has a neurogenic bladder? Urge incontinence? So many possibilities if true.
And I agree, VTN; it would explain the ALWAYS wearing of pants. But wouldn't a long dress/skirt serve a similar purpose?
