LOL Just admit you were wrong although I'm with you on Matthews. Haha Paradis and one other person were adamant about Lee and HATED Cooks. Those were some good battles and really brought the draft forum to life. Good times. I have to give Paradis credit though. He LOVED David Johnson when both of us thought he ran too upright like a WR. I've always liked Paradis as a poster because he drops his balls on the line and brings up names you've never heard of, moreso than other posters. He also watches tape and might be more pissed off than I am. Possibly.

How is it that we have needs just about everywhere, but it still seems like the talent in this draft does not align that well with our needs especially if we pick where we are now at 5. Taking lots of CBs is probably our best bet in this draft. It's just as deep as the RB class. Plus I can see our GM and coaching staff ignoring the RB position since Forte will be here for at least one more year. However, that would be a mistake in my opinion. It just sucks that we have so many needs and so few picks. If we could get another 2nd and 3rd it would be huge for our future. However, our only trade chip is Richardson and I doubt gets more than a 3rd and a 5th. If anything he might only get a 4th. Then we might as well hold on to him and hope we get a 3rd when he walks. I agree with you in the CB and RB positions. Seems to be where the depth of this draft is. But picking too 5, I would want an edge rusher, OT, QB or game changing g WR. Aside from Garrett, right now it does but look like there are any guys at these positions worthy of a Top 5 pick.

Agreed. OT, and QB look weak. Outside of Garrett I don't think there are any edge rushers worth a top 5 pick. Right now the players I'd be ok with in the top 5 besides Garrett are Cook, Jones, and McGlinchey. McGlinchey might not come out, but I think he does. Cook is a game changer, and Jones I think is a potential #1 CB so I'd be fine reaching for him.

We have too draft a RB early this year because the class is so strong and we are desperate for a young RB....I'm not willing too wait for the third round on a RB this year.

At least 5 Olineman will be drafted in the first round, book it.

Fournette or Cook might be our best bet in the top 10. Speaking of RBs, I love seeing what Gaskin is doing tonight. Stays low, good balance and seems to pick up a few yards after initial contact on every carry. Too bad it's another year before he is eligible.

I wish he was eligible this year, because he'd probably be pushed down to our 2nd round pick.

Time is the big factor here but we need to pounce on one of these RB's by the second round. If we wait like Idzik did with the most prolific WR class ever we'll miss out. Just watch these RB's get drafted higher than many thought , one after another.

If we don't draft Cook in the 1st round I hope we grab one of Chubb, Foreman, and Hood in round 2/3. Then double dip with Kalen Ballage in the 4/5th round. Ballage reminds me of David Johnson.

I need to do my homework on Fournette, I'll admit I know nothing about him. I'm not feeling Gaskin. Fournette is an elite talent as a runner. I saw him live up at the Dome last year and without me even realizing it he rushed for 250 and had a 70 yarder called back. AP like. He seems to get banged up though. I don't know but I just think Cook might be more of a game breaking player. He's a better pass catcher and I think he's more elusive. I don't think you could go wrong with either one but I don't think we can pass up either if they are still on the board when we draft. And I hate the thought of taking a RN in the first round but these guys could be franchise RBs. Not sure who I'd take. I'll let the FO make that choice. _

Loved Lee then, still love Lee now. Glad to see him not injured for the first time in 3 years, and making plays Couldn't get behind Jordan Matthews though. Or Cooks.... still feel that way too. LOL Just admit you were wrong although I'm with you on Matthews. Are we talking Cooks? Did I hate him that much? I just thought he was more of a slot/role player. Not quite Tavon Austin caliber (there's a conversation we don't need to revisit), but i didn't think he was that good as a downfield passer... that part I was wrong about. He's been more far versatile than expected. You know who's surprised me the most out of that class? Allen Robinson. I didn't think he was the natural (and athletic) WR that he obviously was. Dynamic downfield, great catching radius, and owns the space around him. He turned out to be way more D. Hopkins, than the b-grade Hines Ward I pegged him for. Him and Bryant, whom i felt was just another gangster with speed. Jury's still out there on the gangster part.
