Johnson definitely seems like a clown. He smoked way to much weed. The other one looks like and sounds like a politician (or mr Rodgers). Actually, I think he's the commodant from the police academy movies. )

its a shame they won't be in the debate... A bunch of self-absorbed so-called "independents" were keeping them in the conversation until it was gut-check time. Most "independents" end up voting the same way all the time. What you see now in the polls is those "independents" finally giving up their charade and answering the call for their team. Johnson and Weld never had a chance.

Johnson and Weld never had a chance. And that's the problem with our current two party system. Its this team or that, a red jersey or a blue jersey, two choices that aren't all that different at the core. Many of the differences are window dressing when you take a step back. We vote for the lesser of two evils, every four years, holding ones nose and pulling the least offensive lever of the two. Ideologically, I line up closer with the Libertarians than I do the Republican party, but Im also a realist; the deck is stacked in favor of the two party system...if vote Trump, which I probably will, its more to keep Hillary out of the white house and away from control over appointing SC justices.

Actually, I think he's the commodant from the police academy movies. ) You can say that, but as the interview noted, "They are no political neophytes. Each one won two terms as Republican governors in heavily Democratic states." The Aleppo gaffe aside, that's saying something. I knew a hard core right wing Republican friend in college back in the day who was from Mass and was all about Bill Weld. I thought they came off pretty well in the interview. Unfortunately not many voters will have seen it.
