That game just bought Cappy the rest of the season. As much as I want them too lose for the inevitable coaching change.....it feels good to notch a win against the Pens. yes it does. I was thinking cappy had the entire season anyway, then had my hopes up he was soon gone when they blew the 3-0 lead in the third, only to have my dreams shattered in the final minute. LOL Hockey Gods giveth, hockey gods taketh away. Kind of felt the same way. If we blew a 3 goal lead, at home, during a nationally televised game, and lost. How could you keep Cappy after that. But still, anytime you send Sid, Malkin & Co home without any points, it still feels good. 3 or 4 more wins in a row and maybe I will start to get excited about the season. I thought they did a great job on the forecheck in the first two periods, forcing Pens turnovers and generating offfense off of them. Was really nice to see them not try to skate with the Pens, which they usually do. And then the 3rd period and the attempt to sit on a lead. Major credit to Anders Lee for bailing the team out. Maybe he is turning into the power forward we thought he could be when he first came up two years ago. He is playing really well right now and seems to be in the middle of almost every scoring opportunity. |

Lee just has to get to the front of the net. Unbelievable how many guys on this team have no balls and just float around the perimeter. Gotta get to the dirty area of the ice to score goals. That's what made Lee successful early, and that's what will make him successful again.
Now if only strome Bailey and Nelson would spend a few minutes there.

Anyone listen to the game on the radio? Boomer and Carton did play by play. That third period was deserving of a doofus like Carton calling it. But all in all they did a good job and were pretty funny.

There's a possibility Pitt and Washington looked who was on their schedule and took them lightly. Pitt took the first two periods off. Last nights game however seemed like a semi legitimate win. |

Wings blew a 3-1 lead in the third last night. Isles maybe catch them at the right time. Second game in two nights. Hopefully Isles don't take the game off after winning 2 vs tough opponents.
