Every generation thinks the next one is horrible. Somewhere along the line someone thought you were moronic scum who needed a good whoopin'. And these millenials will think the same of their kids.

I actually thought that of my own generation until I figured out that humanity, for the most part, is a waste. There are about 20% (being generous) of the world that work their asses off, create, etc the rest are just along for the ride.

It ain't me....it ain't me....I ain't no Senators son.
Actually I enlisted at 18. It was the right move for me...but not for everyone I'm guessing.
Compulsory service...thats not a crystal clear decision to me. Good intentions but unintended consequences is what I typically arrive at.

I served and it was a great decision in retrospect. I recommend it for most kids.
How about we meet in the middle, military service + "free" college? Crazy I know...
Create a new enlistment, ~ type 2.5 years. Recruit goes to boot camp for which ever service can accommodate them. They learn discipline, military law, fitness, everything we learned in basic. Once they graduate from basic training the are put in a Military college that could be considered an academy junior college. Just as in the academies they are expected to train and go to school. They get paid as enlisted and get their first 2 years of college for free. The top say 10 or 20% get accepted to one of the real academies. The rest can either go ROTC/Boot Strap to college and serve their remaining years as officers after graduation or the separate from the military after 2.5 years and move on with civilian life with 2 years of credits under their belts.
This way we get millennials and future generations to nut up and become adults, they get the free college they are "entitled" to.

I'd be all for it... create incentives for young people to serve their country, and compensate them educationally. I have no doubt serving is a character builder and a great thing in general, especially for young people who need discipline and/or a kick in the ass. But its not for everyone, nor is it needed for/by everyone in my opinion. As long as its not state mandated or compulsory. Whether or not parents failed children or children failed themselves, the state stepping in and playing big brother to "fix" millennials by requiring military service, Im not a fan of.

I blame the hippie baby boomers. Most useless worthless scummiest generation ever. They rallied against capitalism and for free love and then turned into yuppies and worshiped the all nightly dollar. They r the ones who fucked this country up. Millennials r the result of their traitorous deceptive wussiness.

I think there are way bigger reasons why some of these millennials are whack jobs. It starts much younger. It starts in the "schools" and the homes with shitty "parenting" by non-millennials. My Millennials have degrees from UC Berkeley and careers doing what they want to do. They are under 30 and still kids. They don't live at home. One is in Los Angeles working with a A&R department on furthering his career. My pops publicly toasted me for being the father he wished he could have been(take that with a grain of salt). And I am one of many great dads on this board, so... so.... so there

What exactly defines a millennial? Pls advs. A precious little baby who winces with fear and acts as if they have been pyshically attacked when confronted with a WORD they find offensive (which are many words, especially when spoken by a white male). They are also the most feminized and Absolutely UGLIEST generation ever to be born. I'm talkin' Lena Dunham ugly. I've never seen so many ugly young people in my life. Diagustingly, abnormally, especially ugly they are. Ugliness aplenty. They should be called Generation U (the U stands for Ugly).
