back in the 90's one of the girls that worked for me in manhattan was peter wolf's niece. one day at work she was like "hey come with me to the cat club my uncle's band is playing." fucking j geils band in that small venue, they rocked that shit out. after the show she's like "come on let's go hang out with them" we hung out backstage with the band, which backstage at the cat club is like no more than a giant closet. blasted a couple of rails with the drummer incognito-like, definitely a cool time

ELO needs to get in, and bring Roy Woods' Wizzard with them. Jeff Lynne walks on water.

I hate you. I got out of bed, just to take a swing at this. I'm such a loser Have at it. This years nominees: Pearl Jam
Journey Electric Light OrchestraTupac ShakurJanet Jackson The CarsJoan Baez The Zombies Kraftwerk YesThe Bad Brains Chaka Khan Chic J. Geils Band
Jane’s Addiction Joe Tex Depeche Mode MC5Steppenwolf MC5 -COMMON - that's their neck of the woods. Get them in there. "Personal Jesus" - didn't Depeche Mode write that? That was a strong group; the ladies always asked for their new wave dance sound. YES has no shot. Incredible group Tupac - He wasn't assassinated; that fella got shot. I like him in the right setting; but his voice just has a doo-rag wrapped around it. Amazing how he could get you to go along for a while. Then he'd go off a bit... Kraftwerk should get in; they were responsible for so much of the Afrikka Bambataa (Bronx?) sound, and beyond. New York (mixing) values. Heavy reverb.

I don't know if Kraftwerk will get in, but they should. They are arguably one of the biggest inspirations for synth pop, new wave, house, techno, etc. (which I'm sure a lot of you old guys hate ![:)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

J. Geils should be in but honestly, who the fuck cares about the R&R HOF anymore? It's become a joke. When they first built it, I definitely wanted to go. Now I don't even wznt to waste my time. Now THIS is what I was looking for!

When are they going to just drop the Rock & Roll part from the name?
