Cant wait until all our healthcare costs go down. I cant wait until lower-to-middle class small business employees and entrepreneurs arent getting bent over. I dont complain for myself, Im one of the lucky ones. Corporate employment has its benefits.

Yay, everyone has healthcare. Except it costs so much to the folks in the middle that they cant afford to eat! But hey, bright side, no diabetes from over-consumption!

I know you're trying to make a joke, but lower income people eat a lot of unhealthy(cheap) food, not less food, and are much more susceptible to those kinds of diseases. but you knew that

A lot of coal workers out of work in KY. I'm not real familiar with the situation in KY but it sounds like they don't have the money for their state exchange, so the gov wants to shift it to the federal exchange? I guess we'll see what happens long term to these folks re: health care.

So do people who's health care costs multiplied exponentially the past few years. Those arent lower income people by the govt's definition either. They're deplorables though.

( Why doesnt she just get a good job? slacker) Ironically, didn't Obama vow to bankrupt the coal industry, putting a lot of those poor Kentuckians you're concerned about out of work?

Right before the e lection Congress (GOP) blocked the $2.5B payment to high risk corridors mandated by the ACA which would have kept premiums steady. But they blocked it so premiums did go up. Now that the e lection is over they have suddenly found $25b to fund high risk pools. Of course premiums will not go down and taxpayers will now have to pay ten times more for Something much worse. Thanks Obama

Can't wait till they get rid of this POS law that helps hundreds of millions of people. Repealing it will add 802 billion to the deficit thru increased Medicare costs which is good because that will give Paul Ryan more leverage to dismantle medicare thank god. And seniors will pay higher premiums and more for drugs so hopefully that gets them to die off sooner. No more free preventive screenings so we get rid of even more people. But best of all the super rich will no longer have to pay a few extra cents in taxes which lets face it is the real objective Obamacare touches just about everyone. It's not just for the 20 million people who have health insurance through the individual Obamacare exchanges or Medicaid expansion. Under Obamacare, senior citizens pay less for Medicare coverage and for their prescription drugs. Many Americans have received free contraceptives, mammograms, colonoscopies and cholesterol tests. And small business employees with older and sicker workers have not been slapped with super-high premiums. "The ACA made changes in every part of the health care system," said Larry Levitt, senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation, of the Affordable Care Act. "Virtually everyone has been touched by the ACA." "It's not just for the 20 million people who have health insurance through the individual Obamacare exchanges or Medicaid expansion." money.cnn.com/2017/01/02/news/economy/repealing-obamacare-health-insurance/index.html

And thank God these losers will be off the gravy train
“We find that 4.4 million children and 7.6 million parents could lose coverage in 2019 if Congress’s budget reconciliation process repeals pieces of the ACA without a replacement plan,” researchers at the Urban Institute wrote in a report released Wednesday called “Partial Repeal of the ACA through Reconciliation: Coverage Implications for Parents and Children.” “ Under the repeal bill, states would be able to reduce Medicaid and CHIP eligibility for children beginning in 2017 . We find that up to 9 million more children could lose coverage if states lower Medicaid/CHIP eligibility to the new minimum standards.”

I am doing my open enrollment for the year. After having the same health insurance costs for the past 3 years my Medical coverage is DECREASING by $40 and Dental and eye are increasing by $1.80. All in all a good deal from my company. At least the Obamacare debassholee hasn't leaked over into my company's plans. We just finished our open enrollment. 505.00 per pay check. That is just for the health. Once I added the dental and vision and what not I am paying just over 600 twice a month. I gotta get the kids off my plan. I literally would save 750 a month. Did I mention I work for a Hospital network with over 1000 beds and 9000 employees. We provide our employees with a no deductible (co-pay only) policy and have them contribute $40 per paycheck. We do so because most of them are the secondary earners in their families and are working mainly for insurance coverage. It is a good way to attract and keep good employees. Last year, as an owner, I opted out of our business plan and went on the exchange for my coverage because the no-deductible policy was crazy expensive for a family of 5. I went to do the same thing this year. On the exchange I had 2 plans to "choose" from. One cost $1,659/month with a $3,500 per person deductible; the other is $2,082/month with a $3,000 per person deductible. For those without a calculator, that's only $20,000 to $25,000 per year! How come whenever the Federal Government decides to solve a problem, my life becomes more difficult.
