I would've said that I'm dead-set on a HC with a background on the offensive side of the ball. But you know what, I'm going to trust Wolf and Casserly (and the new GM), and I can't imagine being upset with whichever guy they choose.

This is the guy I want. He is the whole reason Seattle is great. Pete carroll could never field a defense like he has now go back to the 94 Jets and NE his defense blows. Dann Quinn wasn't there Seattle doesn't win the SB. This guy is a true defensive mastermind makes Rex look like a high School coach. Just for the record I wanted a coach like Gruden or Cowher but since they aren't available I have to go with Quinn probably the best coach available right now.

The Quinn/Kirchner combo is feeling like the likely duo right now Would be a solid duo to form the new leadership of the Jets. Quinn is the guy I'd like to see hired if Bowles has no interest but those two are my preference.

Just for the record I wanted a coach like Gruden or Cowher but since they aren't available I have to go with Quinn probably the best coach available right now. First of all, lets give Pete Carroll some credit for evolving over a 20 year period and not think of him as the same guy who coached the Jets and the Pats*. As I recall he had a pretty good defense with the Jets, but again that was 20 years ago. As for the new coach, maybe Dan Quinnis the right guy but not because he's a defensive mastermind, that's what we had with Rex. And I don't want an offensive guru either if he's not going to be more of a strategist than a tactician. You want to find the best guy that's going to be like the CEO of the team. A great CEO, sets a culture, devises a mission and strategy and then is able to find great people to execute it. Same with a great coach. Pete Carrol has managed to win a national championship and superbowl not because he is an offensive or defensive genius but because he's a great head coach, can implement a culture, can relate to his players in a way that they respect him and is able to identify great assistant coaches to implement his vision. Rex couldn't do that. Belicheck was a defensive genius but has managed to oversee some of the greatest offenses in NFL history. John Harbaugh was a special teams coordinator and won a super bowl - I assure you not because he had great special teams. The guy is a leader. I want a CEO, a leader, and just because a guy is great offensive or defensive coordinator, doesn't mean he's going to be a great CEO or head coach. Here's hoping that Casserly and Wolf and whover they hire as GM can find that Leader.

The Quinn/Kirchner combo is feeling like the likely duo right now This is what I am hoping for -- it would be two guys who know each other and have worked together to help build a winner in the past. I am one of those guys who wanted an offensive minded HC, but I would be happy with these guys going forward.

Casserly and Wolf sound like they are going to have an extensive search. Look at the diversity between the candidates listed. Some retreads, some up-and-coming coordinators, some defensive guys, some offensive guys....and this is only part of the list I assume I would really like to see the GM list.....

The Quinn/Kirchner combo is feeling like the likely duo right now One great thing about this combo is that Kirchner could probably be had now. As an assistant GM type, I think he could easily leave the team now and then just sit back and wait for his boy Quinn to shake free after the Seahawks get eliminated or win the Super Bowl.

Tom Cable? No thanks. Reich is an interesting candidate. Anyone know what kind of coach he's been? Quinn seems like a great candidate from what I'm reading.
