Yeah I figured it would be a surprise, but I looked at the guys tape after the combine and the guy is legit. What impressed me is that he was able to gain weight from 230 to 246 and he still put up explosive Von Miller-like numbers at the combine. Which means that he can probably play at 250-252 at the next level and would fill a huge hole at OLB maybe since we drafted John Abraham back in the day who was considered a DE/OLB hybrid. Your list is pretty good too but I am not a fan of Randy Gregory. He is too lanky, lacks the strength at the point of the attak and I was watching him get swallowed up by big O-linemen. One of my biggest hopes is that we address OLB in free agency with a player like Worilds. If we were to somehow plug an excellent veteran in at OLB during FA then I'd almost change my philosophy to the best available WR at #6. I'm hopeful either ONE OF Cooper or White is there at #6. I think there's almost no chance that both would be there but I'd take either one at 6. Agreed that plan makes sense, Worilds is a complete OLB...honestly I would be thrilled if the Jets got anyone that I mentioned in the top 6.

I don't know much about Worilds' play this past season, but how bad do you have to play for the Raiders to cut you?

Woodley got cut by the Raiders not Worilds Ohhh... sorry for my confusion. Yeah Worilds Is a different animal. He is a 3 down LB who had 7.5 sacks.

Valid concern, but he doesn't seem to be a "system" type player. The Steelers really didn't have much on D last year.

Worilds is originally from Carteret, so he may have some interest in coming back home. Imagine stacking Worilds and Fowler at OLB next year?

Worilds is probably someone they would want to keep but they are right up against the salary cap and don't have the flexibility to sign him to a long-term contract. Pretty sure they gave Worilds the transition tag last year. I don't think that this is a Santonio Holmes/Mike Wallace scenario.

I'll do this one post combine for players I want the Jets to draft, not overall, so I'll leave guys like Williams out.
1) Winston- this pick scares the shit out of me but you have to take a chance if he's there. I like how he cleaned up his throwing motion by giving up baseball. 2) Parker- Love Parker....he is the real deal and plays the position effortlessly. A natural. 3) Fowler- Yes he plays defense and I want an offensive guy, but he is worthy. 4) Beasley- see above 5) White- What's not to like? He has almost the exact same measurables as Parker and ran a faster 40, but I'm leery of picking him. He's not as smooth as Parker and I think the bust potential is there. Probably just my irrational thoughts coming through or call it a premonition. 6) Peat- He's going to be a monster in a couple of years. I want nothing to do with a guy like Gregory but I'd be OK with Cooper. Cooper wouldn't be my favorite pick but I'm sure he'll be a productive player at the next level.
