A document inadvertently leaked after it was caught on camera proves that Donald Trump does plan to rapidly build a border wall, confounding pundits who have claimed it was all just rhetoric.
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, an expert on border security and legal immigration, met with Trump on Sunday in New Jersey.
Kobach was holding a file of papers, one of which was snapped by a media photographer from a distance. It is entitled “Department of Homeland Security Kobach Strategic Plan For First 365 Days”.
When zoomed in, the paper reads that “in addition to 386 miles of existing wall” there is a further “1989 miles planned for rapid build.”
According to Trump’s past statements, the total length of the wall wouldn’t need to run the whole 2,000 miles of the border due to natural barriers. It now appears that his border wall plan will cover the entire length of the border and may even overcompensate.
The document flies in the face of claims by Hillary supporters and media pundits that Trump’s promise to build a wall was just hot air.
At the start of the year, left-wing website Crooks and Liars snarked, “Well, Trump supporters, hate to break it to you, but there is not going to be a wall,” claiming that the idea was just a ruse to rally audiences at his campaign speeches.
The Street.com also published an article back in April entitled Here’s Why Donald Trump’s Mexico Wall Will Never, Ever Happen.
Just yesterday, the L.A. Times reported that “Trump spent more than a year promising to build a wall,” but that he hasn’t mentioned it since he won the presidency.
In May, Glenn Beck confidently predicted that Trump would not build the wall.
“One way or another, he’s not going to build the wall. And if he does, then I’ll apologize to him on that day, but he’s not going to build that wall and Mexico is not going to pay for it. And if he does, I will apologize on that day,” said Beck.

Who's going to pay for it? What type of wall are we talking here? 8' chain link fence? 12' block wall? Solid concrete? Steel panels? Painted or galvanized? Gotta get a survey done, and stake out the wall location. Better drill some holes along this 2000 miles to find out what soil you'll be bearing on. Better get someone to figure out where the fence posts should go. And better figure out some alternatives to that when you go and actually dig a hole for the fence post and hit bedrock instead of soil.
Should be able to get all this done in a year, no problem..

That's a big fuckin wall.
Rough estimate of 3 feet thick to go that high, that's 10 cubic yards of concrete per foot. At about $400 a yard installed, you're looking at $4000 per foot of wall. Prices probably higher because it's tough to get materials to remote locations. $4000 per foot times 5280 feet per mile times 2000 miles - hope you have a big wallet.

Over $42 billion. Cut the wall in half, and still over $21 billion. GDP of Mexico is what, $11 billion a year?

The wall won't get built. Like all politicians he made a comment to galvanize the troops, and then he'll find a middle ground like more funding for border patrol, or a wall in particular locations.

They'll build a three mile stretch, have a photo shoot with trump there, and say 'look, I built a wall'.

Day after the wall is completed. Find a gif that shows the machine gunning at the Berlin Wall in '62. That's a bit more accurate.
