I think I had us at 6-10 before the season so I never though we were a playoff team but the day I knew the season was over was San Diego. That was a beating. Why did you only have the Jets at 6-10?

I still thought that Rex, being the defensive genius he is, would figure out a way to scheme around that and lead the Jets to the playoffs. Oh well, I was wrong.

. We were up 21-3 on GB and I had that feeling something BAD would happen....I was right..... But for a split second it looked liked 2-0 was...then ....BAM.BIF...POW.. Yeah, with that secondary, you knew it wasn't going to be easy.

The GB sucked but I still had hope.
The day Geno got pulled after multiple early turnovers is when I knew it was over. Realization that he would not get over the hump. A below average to bad qb, shitty offensive line paired with a D that lost anything resembling a secondary spelled doom.
Having a team with flaws is one thing...

I didn't believe we were a real 8-8 team in 2013. And all offseason I questioned the OL and CB positions and was told by fans that "FA wasn't over yet", and we "have 12 draft picks". Like some decent CB is going to be available right before training camp or somebody was going to cut a good Guard in TC. We were going to suck anyway but Idzik sitting on his hands made matters worse.

Wow, I guess I was an optimist...
I didn't believe all was lost until we lost that Thursday Night in New England in Week 7. If we won, would have only been 2 games behind the Patriots for first in the AFCE.

Its easy to say the GB game was the turning point on the season, but I really did not lose hope after that loss.
To me the season was lost at the end of September - when we fell to 1-3 after losing to the Lions without Calvin Johnson. Consecutive losses to banged up Detroit and Chicago teams with Rivers, Peyton and SparklePony coming up. Anything worse than 2-2 in September would be awfully tough to overcome.

For me it would have been right before kickoff on opening fucking day Same. I never had any hopes for this season.

When Sanchez got whacked in the Snoopy Bowl, even if he wasn't the greatest it was back to square one. 3 year set back with this O no matter the QB.

blowing the lead against GB was bad, but i attributed it to the mastery of Rodgers.
i knew it was over against the Bears. i was at the game, and the offense just went backwards all game. putrid. the no-show by the offense reminded me that this was the same ol' rex ryan jets, and i knew the season was over

I knew the first half of the season would be brutal. When Geno gave us those early turnovers in the Bills game sealed the season for me. There was no coming back from there. It seemed like the team mentally accepted what was happening that season after that: we weren't just a team getting repeatedly outplayed, we were fielding a team that wasn't even in the competition each week.
