It must be those same keen observational skills that allowed you to somehow overlook how bumping a thread praising the stock market run with a post implying that the hens have come to roost with recent downturn is exactly what I stated; a 'nahnahnahnah' by a person celebrating an ideological turn of events. And I think you'd take solace in a decline if it allowed to do just what you did, that's the point I was making. But you missed that, too. See, here's how it should be done by you; "screw Trump, but at least my investments are doing well." Here's how it was done with your guy Barack by those who didn't like him; "Wow, gold's through the roof. Can't stand the guy, but thanks Obama." What happened friday is just a correction. Won't be the last one. 650 points is not a big deal based on where the market is today. Market can't always go up, but it always does in the long run.
Percentage wise, Obama's first year is very similar to Trumps first year for the market from their inauguration date. Dow's up 26% since Trump's inaugeration. Dow was up 33% under Obama. For an entire term, the market was up 149% under obama. I'll be more than happy if Trump can match those numbers.
