I thought Canada had pretty strict gun laws? They do. But they can't protect themselves from the most dangerous thing of all, Trump's rhetoric.

Turns out the stories circulating about the Trump administration reducing the role of the Joint Chiefs in the NSC was misreporting or fake news. Being discussed now in the daily presser. They will also be adding the CIA back to the council. CIA hasnt been a part since 2005. Yeah, I'm waiting for Porgyman to come back to this thread. He read some bullshit and freaked out and now he is ducking a simple question. Porgyman, the media is slanted and lying to the American people to undermine our President. If he does something I don't agree with I will say it but the Media has to put FACTS before the American public. And what simple question am I ducking? I agree with you about the need for the media to get it right. They rush to put crap out there...then it turns out to be wrong.

Then you post a Wash Post article to support your position. I've asked you several times what in that article bothers you.

The CEO of AirBnB tweeted out that he would give free housing to these refugees. Someone tweeted back asking if he would house homeless veterans. He deleted the tweet and blocked the guy.

Yesterday you freaked out when Trump put Bannon on the NSC. Then you post a Wash Post article to support your position. I've asked you several times what in that article bothers you. From the article. First, he essentially demoted the highest-ranking military officer in the United States, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the highest-ranking intelligence officer in the United States, the director of national intelligence. In previous administrations, those positions or their equivalent (before the creation of the director of national intelligence, the CIA director occupied that role) held permanent positions on the NSC. White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon attends the swearing-in of Nikki Haley as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in Washington on Jan. 25. (Nicholas Kamm/Agence France-Presse via Getty Images) Now, those key officials will be invited only when their specific expertise is seen to be required. Hard as it is to imagine any situation in which their views would not add value, this demotion is even harder to countenance given the threats the United States currently faces and the frayed state of the president’s relations with the intelligence community. A president who has no national security experience and can use all the advice he can get has decided to limit the input he receives from two of the most important advisers any president could have.

First paragraph is complete and utter bullshit. Obamas DNI was a retired 3 star General, he had no their duties. The Chairman of theJCOS has other shit to do. He's still welcome to attend any and all meetings. Second paragraph is the same thing. Why does the CJCOS have to be there when they talk about ZIKA or some other shit that he has nothing to do with. Again, all you did was quote a part of the article. In your own words, what bothers you about this?

The CJCOS is welcome to attend any and all meetings, Obama had two guys attending the NSC meetings that were never formally appointed. Trump is bringing in a guy who's opinion he values, just like Obama did.

He's right, just concede.

Sure sounds like a demotion to me. "Sen. John McCain, chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, criticized what he characterized as Trump's decision to elevate Bannon and minimize the role of Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on CBS' "Face the Nation." "I am worried about the National Security Council. Who are the members of it and who are the permanent members? The appointment of Mr. Bannon is something which is a radical departure from any National Security Council in history," McCain said. McCain added: "The role of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been diminished, I understand, with this reorganization. The one person who is indispensable would be the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in my view.So it's of concern, this 'reorganization.'" www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/former-defense-secretary-robert-gates-big-mistake-trump-remove-members-n713781
