It's been a while since grade school civics class, but don't we have three branches of government, the executive, legislative, and judicial? All form a system of checks and balances? Created so no one branch wields too much power?

No, but its kind of funny that for 8 years, Obama's over-reaching executive orders were pretty much ignored by the same people up in arms screaming "Trump has too much power!" because his EOs got them stuff they wanted. And before that, it was Republican presidents. Both sides were and are fine with executive orders and circumventing the process when it benefits them. Regardless of who the POTUS is, he should be held in check. |

Regardless of who the POTUS is, he should be held in check. Agreed, the Genie is out of the bottle. Maybe congress and the SCOTUS should try to put it back in. One thing about Trump is he is looking to reduce the size of the government and its overreach. Hopefully this will help and the other branches will learn to do their jobs. |

Obama had some very big executive orders lose in the courts. I dont think anything Trump has signed thus far will be deemed unconstitutional.
