They said he is special needs yesterday. No surprised, that's what I was getting at. As a special needs parent, you can kind of tell most of the time. If he did it, no way does his disability excuse it. However, his disability may nullify his confession. |

Very sad. He does have the special needs "look". But you have to be pretty adequately functioning to make your way to Howard Beach from East New York.
I also have a hard time believing that he went straight to the Big Leagues in terms of crime. There has to be some history of behavior. I fear we are going to find out that this all was very preventable which makes it even worse.

like them throwing out the DNA and confession because he doesn't have the mental capacity to understand what is going on... He's obviously an idiot. He's like 20 and was still in HS. He also came out today and said he hates "the people from this neighborhood," i.e. white people. Whatever, I actually almost feel bad for him. He doesn't look like the kinda guy that would do this, but he certainly has mental shortcomings and I guess he snapped. The family of the girl who was killed is devastated and will never get over this loss. If it turns out he did it, then he needs to go away forever. He attended Martin De Porres HS in the Rockaways and graduated in Aug 2015. So he did graduate. But thats apparently a HS for kids who have some issues of some sort. |

The Times article I read said the shortest route from his home in East NY to his high school, would take him right through Howard Beach. So he spent four years most likely passing through. I would agree its hard to believe he went right to murder. Now theres conflicting reports whether he made threats towards classmates, so who knows. But I have to guess this guy had issues that the family downplayed or ignored. Which would make for, like you said, another instance of a preventable crime with mental health care implications. |

It's time to start youthanizing all of these people just like you do with dogs that accidentally eat kids because they don't know any better.
A sad story sure. But they need to be put down. Maybe this one can be caged in a max security mental facility i dunno, but there are millions of fucking roaches in the prisons that need to be put to sleep. No redeeming value what so ever. The Aaron Hernandez's of the world. Get their strain off of the society and make a fucking statement at the same time. You do this shit, you die.
