I think most independents (who are the folks that really matter in national politics) see this as the establishments efforts to destroy an interloper who is a threat to their world view and way of life.
No one seriously thinks it's a huge issue for the incoming NSA director to have a conversation with a Russian about sanctions. The Logan Act, which is at issue, makes it a crime for an unauthorized citizen to negotiate with a foreign government having a dispute with the US. It's application to the incoming administration of a president elect, is questionable. It is intended to prevent candidates for office from negotiating and then running on "if elected, I have a deal with so and so..."
If a Dem was in the WH, the MSM would be all like "nothing to see here...."

Well, Puzder is out. I guess there was just too much winning. Who can we blame? Media I guess. I know I should not care, but it makes me sad when you make conclusory reactionary partisan posts. Stick with the thinking man posts, I like your opposing viewpoint when it is based on rational thought rather than bomb throwing. |

I cant spell it ALL out for you!  1. Trump fires Flynn because Flynn"could not be trusted" (per Spicer), Flynn lied to Pence and others. 2. Trump says Flynn is a super great guy and blames the media and "fake news" after he himself fired him! What exactly was the fake news? (Thats was in between the last 2 sentences.) |

He definitely has a lower approval rating relative to other presidents early in their terms. But I think that is bc of how polarizing he is so people are locked in. It is going to be very hard for him ever to break 60%. I feel like even 55% is a bit too high. However, I think his numbers will remain more stable than past presidents bc of that also. So you wont see him dip as low as Bush did. If you look at the right track/wrong track polls I think that is a better indication.
