I look at who was against repealing it so I'm for it. You mean, like, people? Is Soros human?

I jerked it to underwear ads in the Macy's ads. Sometimes I even saw a nipple. I'll get by.

Can someone else the PRO argument on the net neutrality vote? I know jack about this sort of thing, but it just seems like a huge gift to the operators at the cost of consumers and small business' no? ..and more importantly does this mean our funny picture thread is in danger? The problem is that it is a many faceted issue and I feel giving the government more control isn't the answer. First thing is that it is a rule trying to solve a problem that doesn't even exist (yet). Without Net Neutrality it could happen that ISPs could charge companies for access to better bandwidth on the internet which is happening in Portugal from what I hear. The ISPs having monopolies in many areas decreases the market forces which could solve this issue naturally through competition Government regulations are what have created the monopolies in the first place because the give the ISPs control over the lines that go to our houses and also won't allow more lines on the poles or under the ground because they have given certain companies the right to decide what is on the pole. If those rules were removed or reduced similar to how the electric lines are "shared" by providers now this wouldn't be an issue because the prices would be controlled by the market. So if your ISP raised prices you would have an alternative. Also consider that Wireless speeds are getting to be very fast so that could be the market solution to wired ISPs raising prices. this is a good beginning. "net neutrality" (NN) was slyly named to sound wonderful and it certainly fooled a lot of people into believing getting rid of it would "destroy the internettz". the Net was fine without it as recently as 2015. NN actually slowed down investment in the new coverage and technology due to all the rules that had to be followed. It also allowed Google, Twitter, and other giant corporations to remain in total control of their content, to the detriment of people who want a fair and equal Net. Also, a lot of people still think the Net model is very flat where you have the Cloud on one level, and users on the level below, and that's it. Thats incorrect: that doesn't show the relationships between some content providers (Google, Netflix) and ISPs, where the provider has a physical presence at the ISP that they paid for, to deliver thing like lag-free movies. NN actually helped the content providers shut out other providers. (I've tried not to go full tech babble here. You're welcome)

Did you read the article? The "multibillion-dollar porn industry" that was created before net neutrality is complaining. Sounds good to me. So States have declared it a crisis but you want to give government control. Good luck.

Germans sure do love extremes. They are the WORST at picking leaders. Hitler, Merkel - it's the death of the country one way or the other. Stupid krauts.
