Honestly I don't even think Assad was behind this. I could see the CIA being behind this. Something doesn't sit right wth me either. I don't understand the end game by the Syrian govt to gas a town. All that was reported was women and children killed. What was the target? Was a rebel leader also targeted/killed? The reporting seems like it was just killing civilians for no real reason.

IMO it was some score settling. I bet that town is important to someone or some group that someone high up in Assad's regime had a beef with. Lesson: don't squash beefs by the use of chemical weapons.

The syrians admitted it, but claimed it was an accident. From the weekly standard: Publicly, the Russians had backed the Assad regime's incredible explanation for Tuesday's attack: that the anti-Assad terrorist group Al-Nusra Front had smuggled a chemical-weapons depot into the country and Assad forces had inadvertently launched the nerve gas into the air while trying to destroy its enemy's munitions. In private diplomatic channels, a Trump administration source says, Russians stuck by the laughable story, which reportedly annoyed American officials. It also emboldened the administration to act.

If Assad did this I don't have a problem with the strike. I just have my doubts that he did this.

Well. Fox News is reporting we just launched 43-47 Tomahawk missiles into Syria. Drink up fellas, WWIII might kick off soon. hope they hit some Russian planes at the airfield while they're at it. Russia needs a punch in the nose. Sec. of State Rex Tillerson revealed late Thursday that the U.S. warned Russia that they would be bombing the airfield in Homs, Syria since there was Russian military in the vicinity. ABC News reported early Friday that the Syrian military seemed to know that something might happen. Eyewitnesses claim the military then evacuated personnel and moved equipment before the strike took place.

Its amazing just how much Trump has shaken things up. Who would have thought in just 8 short years the Democrats would become the blood lust party? They have gone from complaining about Bushs illegal wars to complaining about Trump not killing Russians in Syria.

Catch them redhanded aiding the Assad regime after they used chemical weapons that Barry and the kept man told us they surrendered to them. No more deniablilty for them. Sure they may have moved some equipment but where they gonna launch frm without an airbase now?

Something tells me they can figure it out....somewhere else to launch from. Does anyone really think this one bombing accomplishes ANYTHING?

It is all a product of meaninglessly drawing lines in the sand for 8 years. Funny that "Russia's puppet" would make a strike on Syria.
