i never agreed with a.a.'s approach to counting the days. then you're just looking to hit a big number, and in the back of your mind your subconscious is thinking "wow, when i hit that big number, i'm going to reward myself with 10 fucking stiff drinks."
don't count the days your life has been better, count the ways your life has been better
