Talk about Fake News. The pictures they use suggest that the black guy got beat up. And that image was released by DCPI which is the NYPD. I dont know if this rises to the level of a hate crime. And frankly I believe that term is grossly overused and as a result the true victims of hate crimes have been trivialized because of it. Why is it that anytime a black person is attacked the article makes sure to point out race but in articles like this there is no mention of race? Must just be an oversight. |

Its not an oversight (I know you were being sarcastic). Its because white-on-black crime sells. And by "sells" I mean generates clicks and TV ratings. It harks back to some of our darker history which attracts people sort of like a car crash. And the majority of people reporting on it are of a persuasion that likes to remind us of this. Nobody gives a shit about the poor people in Chicago. At least not enough to do anything about it. How much longer does it need to go on before people realize this? |

Bullshit... it ONLY gets to the court when a prosecutor calls it a hate crime. There is HEAVY political pressure on these prosecutors, especially when the reverand and co get involved. The Law, dont make me laugh. The federal justice department ruled that the shooting in Missouri was justified. There were plenty of witnesses who confirmed the cop was in his car and the "victim" reached in the car. Yet the cop is out of a job, our then president played down to the masses and the law as you state determined no hate crime, no crime at all. Yet the cop is basically unemployable now. |
