Looking at the board, if there's a run on CBs, as we expect there to be, there's not a lot to pick from if Engram goes off the board befor the Jets. That's the pick we need to work the phone on. I don't like anything about the board between picks #30-50 outside the TE position.

You know I'm always anal when it comes to off the field stuff with these guys and for good reason. I would say the bust rate is much higher for players of his ilk. Agreed, but I'll take a chance on character, over reaching on talent x1000. There was nothing i felt like was worth the #38 pick. The corners I preferred that high, gone. Safety? no. OT -- laughable with who was left. I'm guilty of not watching a lot of tape on some of the other OLBs and Dlineman though. Gimme Ryan Anderson ahead of Tim Williams. A lot of Williams success came from Anderson and Allen destroying the pocket.

If you had gone in a different direction at 6, would you have considered Mixon at 39? Or is that too much baggage?

He deserves an opportunity to show world that he can be better than the person he was at 19... but 2nd round? that's a high pick. If we don't take a RB in round 1, i'd prefer to fill that with someone like Hunt/Jones/Gallman later

I really like Anderson actually, but he's Bryan Thomas of this generation and that an expensive price to pay for his role. I think we have guys who can presently bring to the table most of what he does.

I know this has been said before but if you will not be around for your pic, please PM a list to myself, Lith, and HN. Because of the actions of a few this thing has ground to a halt.

Fellas, we have got to get this thing moving. Weekends tend to slow down, but we have been moving at a snail's pace so far with multiple missed picks in the last two days and several others taking 2+ hours on the clock. As Rob said in the post above, please remember to send us PM with 3 to 5 picks in order of priority if your pick is coming up and you will be away for a few hours.
As an incentive to PM us your picks: if your pick is coming up within the next 10, you can send a PM with your picks and your top 3 choices will be "protected". In other words, if someone misses a pick and we need to make it for them, we will not select any of the top 3 players listed in your PM.
Another poster may select them, or one of the mods making the pick for their team might, but for any pick where the mods need to assign a pick after the 3 hour window is up, we will not use the top 3 from any upcoming submitted picks.

Still, Budda Baker is a really nice pick. Not a bad consolation prize.

Both players I was going to take went the 2 picks before me. Lol But you selected a free safety in round 2. Baltimore signed UFA Tony Jefferson to a 4 year $34,000,000 contract with $19,000,000 guaranteed. He'll be their starting free safety through at least 2019 and maybe 2020. No way they go Budda Baker at free safety in round 2. They need a corner desperately.

But in saying that it makes me think this pick will end up meaning both players will play out of the position they're most accustomed to. Pure corner would have made more sense and there's a lot of them left on the board. That may not be the case in Rd3.
