Knew you were gonna take Mahommes. Tried to trade up with Carolina but he didn't see my message in time. People in KC are talking about taking Mahommes with their first rounder. I never really considered Mahomes becaue I didn't think he would make it to the early 3rd. I am not a big fan of his frenetic style, but he can sit behind Glennon for a year or two and learn the pro game. Some of the plays he can make in the Big 12, against mostly putrid defenses, are not gonna fly in the NFL. With an extra pick in the 3rd, and him still on the board, I am taking a shot on the tools and the upside. |

I guess if Hack can go at 51 and players like Locker, Ponder, and Manziel get drafted in the first anything can happen. I'm not a fan of Mahomes but he's definitely better than the other three I mentioned coming out. |

I never watching him much, college or pros. Wasn't his career kind of like Sanchez? Started out looking promising had a 10-6 season and then fell off a cliff? I guess it is easier to ignore the eye test if you never see someone. I might have preferred signing him for the vet min to McCown for $6M, but not a good use of #12 overall. FWIW, I actually liked your Davis Webb pick. I like him in the 3rd. Big guy with an arm is a worth a shot, though I don't think I'd have liked him much earlier. |

Lawson was a nice find at the bottom of round 2. Top 20 talent who drops because of his injury past. I agree. We talked about him as a potential robopick a little earlier, but went in a different direction. In this draft, just seems like anytime we need to make a robopick, we really can't go wrong taking a CB. Not for me. He's a non factor in the run game and I have questions about his motor. I think this is a good spot for him but wouldn't be surprised if he goes earlier due to his hype. |

FWIW, I actually liked your Davis Webb pick. I like him in the 3rd. I liked him in the third also but I have the 30th pick of the round and didn't think he would last. The Steelers are drafting a QB high this year....me thinks. |
