All the kids are in, making chicken teriyaki tonite.
But TOMORROW am making a massive pot of Southside Chili (no not that Southside), guacamole and Jalapeño Cornbread in my new cast iron skillet.
Butcher just coarse ground 10 pounds of chuck roast. Can’t wait.

I need a new Chile recipe. Mine never impressed me much. Care to share? I sent my Texas chili (the only real chili) recipe to WCO years ago on JI. No idea if he made it, but I haven't been able to find it since.

I sent my Texas chili (the only real chili) recipe to WCO years ago on JI. No idea if he made it, but I haven't been able to find it since. Texas is chunks of Beef, yes? Not ground? I need to make that. I’ve only done ground. _ Yup, Texas chili is chuck. No beans, no tomatoes, and a ton of dried chilis. I've messed around with the recipe over the years and have added ground beef and tomatoes, but it's just chuck and chili's at it's purest.
