We are civilised human beings "trying to teach our children" they are barbaric animals who don't give thier children a choice except to be pure evil. In your eyes. In theirs? They see themselves as doing the only acceptable thing "in God's eyes". Personally, I believe humanity will never elevate itself to the next level (whatever that may be) until all religion is eradicated. Every last vestige of it. Agreed.

And hence we arrive at Humanities biggest dilemma... Yup. It's like Einstein's old saw, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

^ understanding would be a good start. " That's the problem. Most folks do not want to understand societal differences let alone religious ones. Just contemplate how many human lives have been extinguished over the centuries in the name of God or religion. It's staggering. And, as this bombing/murder displays, still going on effusively. I absolutely despise this kind of moral relativism/atheism trotted out after every Islamic atrocity. Far more good has been done in the name of Judeo-Christian religion mores and ethos than not. If not justifying or excusing the evil deeds it trivializes and minimizes their sociopathy. Other religious acolytes are not committing mass murder with transport vehicles and dockyard confetti bombs. Let me know when you see the next Islamic telethon that is not devoted to killing nonbelievers.

We all bring our baggage and beliefs from our individual journeys through life. My point was that just as we see ourselves as morally correct, so do others like ISIS on their side of the coin. Sadly (IMO), we have not seen what man could be without religions biases, which is what continues to impede our development and growth as a species. We've seen what religion has to offer. It's too late now, but I wonder where we could have evolved without these impediments.

Dude, you got the wrong guy. I'll just leave it as we see the issue differently. I hate these type of arguments, which was never my intention. Neither side will ever see the other's viewpoint. sadly.

Because, unlike Islam, Judeo-Christian religions evolved for the most part (I'm looking at you, circumcision). But the Inquisition, Crusades, witch trials, displacement of Native Americans, conquistadors, KKK, etc. How many have died to make the world more Christian? I'd bet less than in the attempts to make the world Muslim. And I'm certainly not defending Islam. Personally, I think we should have turned the middle east to glass on September 12, 2001.
