From what Im hearing, the Athletic is turning into something worth the subscription price. Yup. I subscribed about a month ago -- you get Staple, who is just about the best guy covering the Isles, plus Connor Hughes who does a good job with the Jets.
And just for nostalgia, I also get Ken Rosenthal with the occasional baseball article. I went to college with Ken -- knew him pretty well in school, but lost touch over the 30+ years since. Although in a way it pisses me off to see someone I graduated with who is so much more successful than I am.

I’ve really enjoyed The Athletic since I signed up. I waited until they offered a 50% off deal and took it. Only $30 for a year. Even at $60 a year, I’ll still keep my subscription next year. There’s also a meet and greet coming up in NYC for subscribers. Staple will be there. |

The sauce is confident, for almost 3 weeks now. Reiterated today. JT is in. im also hearing ex rangers coach AV in serious consideration for HC. Or some mix of AV and DJ Smith. I forget now.
