Hate to jinx the season already, but I'm excited for the season. Looks like they have some young guys in the lineup to watch this year. Couple new young guys on D too, I think.

Could the timing of all of this shit possibly been worse, with JT's contract expiring right at the time of the most uncertainty about where we are going to play long term.

Isles submitted comprehensive bid to build new arena on Belmont site. Bids due today at 2pm. Two additional bids submitted. One for a soccer stadium. The other I dunno.

Ive heard that Belmont is the soccer teams 3rd or 4th choice, and they prefer other locations closer to their fan base in the city. I have a crazy feeling the Isles may win this RFP. Problem is, how quick can they get construction done, and is the promise of a new facility enough to get JT to resign after 1/1?

Definitely going to see what Pulock, Pelech, and Mayfield have this season. Pretty much a lock that they carry 8 defensemen - Leddy, Boychuk, DeHaan, Hickey, Seidenberg, Pulock, Pelech and Mayfield. All eight would have to be exposed to waivers to send down to BPT. Im then guessing 13 F and 2 (thank God!) Goalies. My guess for forwards is: Tavares Lee Eberle Barzal Ho Sang Beauvillier Nelson Ladd Bailey Czikas Clutterbuck Kulemin Chimera Quine and Prince to IR

Isles quietly improve to 5-0-2 in preseason. Make it 6-0-2. Next game is for real.

Friday at Columbus? Im excited to see what this roster can do for better or worse... a nice mix of veterans and youth, and I think they will be better than the prognosticators say.

I think NYI will be better than the consensus. NYR take a step back, so does Washington and Pitt. The tortorellla effect wears off in Columbus.
