Exactly. No wants Adam Gase (rightfully so) because he's been a product of Forehead, but we Quinn when he has at least 5 pro bowlers on his defense ? Bowles took an injury riddled defense and still had it competing in the NFC West Not sure who I would prefer but really only the clueless would think that AZ doesn't have talent on D. Maybe the original lineup, but they were hit hard by injuries. No way you can take away from the job Bowles did this year.

No way you can take away from the job Bowles did this year. They have plenty of talent. As does Quinn. The argument that one or the other made something out of nothing and I'd clearly the reason the units played well is overblown. And no where did I try to take away anything from what Bowles did, he's a a really good DC. Just he doesn't need help with the he had no one smokescreen

No way you can take away from the job Bowles did this year. I agree with that, but it's also unlikely that the Jets had a single starter in the secondary who would start in Arizona. We may not have even had a LB who would start on that D. The guy we were starting at CB1 (whether Walls, Adams or Williams) would be the 4th CB in Arizona behind Peterson, Cromartie and Mathieu.

I am not sure what we are all debating. I am just pointing out that I think Bowles is a good HC candidate. I also like Quinn. Again not sure why I am talking in circles here, when I am not even trying to debate what people responding with.

the longer this goes on the more it sounds like quinn unless the bellichicken butt boy mcdaniel is suddenly in the mix. and if it is quinn they probably already have a handshake agreement in place and will announce when seattle is finally out of the playoffs. and that's okay. none of the experienced hc's wowed anyone. still you never can tell.

The big problem with that is that by the time they can sign Quinn, all the good assistant coaches will be locked up. How is he going to put together a good staff?

If he knows he is getting the job he will have people lined up for at least the coordinator jobs. I'm Sure he has his network.

Source indicated if #Seahawks DC Dan Quinn gets HC job (#Jets strong chance), will try to hire Kyle Shanahan as OC, away from #Browns
